Honestly the numbers are meaningless both ways, what matters is WHEN you get those assists, goals and created chances. 2 winning goals is more meaningful than 3 in a game you have already won. Which is why Drogba is so highly regarded, he didn't score loads compared to his peers but he always scored when it mattered.

Alaba plays AM for Austria, doesn't mean he can do it at a high level and should for Bayern. The whole he plays there for his country stuff is meaningless. Dier is the exception not the rule.

I dunno if he's created only 25 from open play compared to 55 from set pieces that suggests he's not particularly the most creative player from open play. Which was pretty obvious anyway and one of the reasons he struggled at Spurs. He's a great set piece taker and scores goals from midfield but bigger clubs will want more consistent creativity from their #10.

Because he has some of the skills doesn't mean he can play there, he can't. Also the fact he's played there for his country is meaningless, plenty of players play out of position for their country doesn't mean they should do it for their club. He's not a PL standard DM and nobody with sense will actually put him there. Honestly people wanting players being played out of position because they have some requisite skills to do it annoy me more than most, fullbacks should be wingers because they can attack, CBs who can pass should be DMs etc etc. It's all bollocks.

Mitrovic is absolute f***ing garbage man. The sooner people accept that the better. The guy hasn't the slightest clue how to be a striker 9 goals in 30 starts in his first premier league season, thats not garbage at all. We could do better but hes definitely got something. He is young though and needs to improve. You already know this, but we were relegated that season and he's just been even worse in the league below. I'd love us to bring someone else in tbh, I think we're screwed if we don't. It's impressive, because with so few minutes you have to look at how goals to minute ratio more than anything else and last time i checked it was very good. I still feel like his game time has too small a sample size to actually take anything from though.
