Nah people underestimate how bad the bottom of the league is, unless we get really unlucky with injuries we'd probably stay up as is. That's nowhere near good enough though.
-
It's not really about the money IMO, it's more that they have bought 3 fullbacks for two positions and all of them should expect to start. Seems utterly pointless, Silva and the GK are fine but i really don't understand the mindset in buying 3 high profile fullbacks. Like i said not even the likes of Madrid, Barca and Bayern do that.
-
It's easily probable that it was the club's decision for him to stop training. That's far too reasonable, honestly i find it very embarassing how often fans resort to giving players shit whenever they leave. How genuinely hard is it to wish them well and move on with your life.
-
Fair enough, point stands for people that actually feel that way though.
-
I will never understand this "do the right thing " and "let him go" stuff, these players are paid to be professional footballers and are contracted to do so. If a player doesn't like it perhaps he should have negotiated a buyout or not signed the contract to begin with.
-
In the end what's going to happen is we'll have to agree to loan them out and deal with the same issue again next year, i'll be shocked if we sell most of the deadwood we have if i'm honest.
-
Tbf they haven't which is why they're spunking ridiculous amounts on them. I'd understand spunking ridiculous amounts on two starter level fullbacks but 3? Even the likes of Barca, Madrid and Bayern don't spend 30m on a backup fullback. Walker and Mendy are understandable because of their needs, but Danilo? Nah.

Aye it's fucking tiresome to read it even if it is true. This place can't go a day without a signing happening until the next wild theory or ITK reason pops up why a new signing hasn't happened.
-
Neymar is 25, even if Messi retires at 35 which I doubt he will. Neymar will be 30 by then and the highly likelihood is he'll either drop off like every Brazilian ever or replaced by somebody younger. So yes he will never be the main man at Barcelona.
-
There's no point talking about PL clubs or anyone else as Neymar doesn't have that option. PSG are the only ones mental enough to pay the release clause so if he wants to leave that's his only option.
-
Nothing wrong with Flip is saying tbh, money is obviously one of the reasons but it's quite obviously not the only reason. People laugh off the Messi thing but it's genuinely something that could happen. Not every top player is Benzema and are happy to stunt his individual performances for another star player. Some want to leave and be the main man, which will never happen for Neymar at Barcelona. People denying this isn't a factor in some way are being very naive, as sport is full of stars breaking up as they want to prove they can do it on their own in history.

Yep.

Aye - not good. It beggars belief that the club gave the likes of McLaren 90 Mil to spend yet are penny pinching on Rafa. Because the club had the money, assuming we stay in the league Rafa will get that money as well next year. Yeah I don't believe that and neither should anyone else.
-
I feel like Rafa means in terms of the 25 man squad, we need to get rid of some of them to make room as obviously Ashley isn't going to pay wages for players not in the squad.

What sort of player is he? DM?
-
Xavi was better than Iniesta though. While I don't agree with HTT, it's closer than most people think. Scholes was fucking phenomenal who wasn't really appreciated in this country as much as he probably should have been.
-
He might actually, he's been playing as a wing back for Arsenal and I could definitely see him benching Moses.
-
Not even sure this thread is worthy of such idiocy if i'm honest.
-
He'd be alright, I'd rather go elsewhere though. He was mostly crap for Bournemouth and injuries have taken their toll.
-
I doubt Wenger would have persisted with him for so long if he had an attitude problem, becomes he comes across as right charver off the pitch doesn't mean he has an attitude problem. We should obviously steer clear, but that isn't the reason.
-
He's very skilled, it's just like most young English players nowadays he's a bit thick and never really improved the necessary parts of his game to become a great player.

Javier Manquillo (now playing for Celta de Vigo)

Can't wait for the Mata signing tbh. -
Why not? That's just a CM, AM, Striker and GK, not exactly hard to accomplish under the remaining reported budget.
-
Even if we assume Rafa only has the reported 70m to spend, that's still enough to get the players we need including a GK. There's really no excuses for Ashley, so I'm not buying the funds excuses.
