  1. In this country sure, but what makes the TV deal so huge is the amount countries around the world paying ridiculous amounts and it's growing all the time. The Premier League will gamble on other countries increasing making up for ours maybe decreasing, they'll probably be right too. It can't see the bubble bursting any time soon.
  2. You're kidding yourself man The panic will never be over.
  3. If there was a cap Ashley would be the only one to not hit the cap floor
  4. Nah, Ankles Bennett said he's 'worth no more than £12m', mole just said he'd be surprised if he went for more than in the low 20 millions to the extent that he'd bet on it. Well i'm willing to admit i was wrong then Don't get me wrong, i'm fully aware of how ridiculous the prices are i just didn't think they'd be this ridiculous. With that said and maybe i should learn my lesson, but i don't think Everton will go to 50m. Regardless if he is sold it will still be more than what i said anyway so it don't matter.
  5. I mean he's not wrong, trouble is those teams will sign a lot more. Past evidence suggests we won't, there in lies the problem.
  6. Going to go out on a limb and say it's West Ham.
  7. They probably just think he'll eventually get better at it, based on what VI said about him before he went to Villa and the fact he's genuinely thick from a football intelligent pov i don't share the same confidence. It's more of a hope thing than anything based on any sort of evidence.
  8. Because he's a professional and being annoyed or pissed off won't be enough to make him walk. Still doesn't mean we shouldn't be concerned though.
  9. No way in hell could Navas ever play on the left, he's a prototypical right winger and barely has a left foot at all.
  10. Who you expecting? with regards to Montero, Traore clearly isn't good enough obviously. As inconsistent as Montero is i'd definitely take him.
  11. Navas used to be good in his Sevilla days, he's been pretty crap for a while though. Doesn't really use his pace, crosses usually hit the first man and just an all round frustrating player. I have been critical of him, but Ritchie is better.
  12. Didn't Caulkin say the other day Rafa has no interest in Hart? Therefore I don't particularly believe the Navas links either tbh. Sounds like agents at work imo.
  13. As i said before their summer so far reminds me a lot of the summer Spurs sold Bale, we'll see if they are able to use future seasons to build like Spurs did.
  14. That part i'm not buying but the part about Rafa wanting to get multiple players in so it's unlikely he'll spend loads on one player i 100% believe it only makes sense. That's no excuse for the clubs not buying more than they have so far though mind.
  15. Yeah i don't think they will as things stand assuming Lukaku goes, of course they still might buy more and i can change my mind.
  16. I thought that anyway, you are not going to cover 6 or 7 players and spend 20m+ on a player unless your budget is above 100m. Just doesn't make sense, if we were to spend 20m on a striker, that would leave 50m left for a fullback, CM, AM, Winger, GK and what ever else. Makes sense to try and fill as many weak points as possible considering how many we have, than to spend the large bulk of it one player and then be left with multiple weaknesses through out the team.
  17. Not so sure about Everton really, a lot of their signings seem very heavy gambles imo. They'll need to do a lot, without Lukaku you look at the team and they don't seem all that much and i say that as someone who has been very critical of Lukaku.
  18. Ritchie may fancy that role and I wouldn't be surprised if it happened. He's good enough to do it so maybe the emphasis will be on a new wide man ?? He may fancy it but putting someone who have never played a position in his career is a recipe for disaster. He might have certain skills for it but he won't understand the decisions you have to make, where to be at what times and so on. You see it with Rooney for England, technically he has the skills of a midfielder but he doesn't understand the role at all and looks like a deer in headlights.
  19. Douglas and Ryder said we weren't interested for the fee Benfica want. Just caught up on this, cheers. It does seem to be persisting, mind. This is why i'm starting to believe there's something in this, it's popping up far too much for it to just be another silly season rumor.
