Me too. Available for £25m. Which is exactly why we won't be interested. We have a rumoured budget of 70-80m and need minimum 6 players. We just don't have the budget to spending 25m on one player when we need to fill so many positions. Plus I'm not particularly sure he's as good as people think anyway.

When i last watched him yes, defensively solid, technically good, position-ally aware and a good passer. He's basically a very poor mans Busquets, which for us is a good thing I haven't seen him play in a couple of years mind, so he might have fallen off a cliff but i doubt it.

Yes, Jesus is too young to say he's better and Aguero isn't what he was and his goals total was incredibly misleading. All anyone said about City last year was how wasteful they were in front of goal, it was obvious they'd buy a striker.

In general yes they are, but it can't hurt to add some experience of actually winning things who still performs to your team. One thing about City's team last season which hardly anyone mentioned is the severe lack of title winning experience outside of Toure, Aguero and Kompany and the latter was hardly there. Alves will help with that.

Lloris, Cech, Courtois etc etc, the list goes on and on.

I completely disagree, either you are really overrating what we have or are underrating Cabellero. What we have are barely good enough for the championship, Cabellero is a solid mid table PL keeper.

It does though, players like Sanchez and Ozil will always look better playing with a striker who makes great runs than a target man as it just limits their passing options. It's the same reason why Barca never bought a big target man, it just slows down their play and doesn't really give them any major advantages to negate that.

In fairness Arsenal don't exactly play in a way which would get the best out of him, we don't either tbh but i could see him being much better somewhere else. Arsenal need someone mobile really, Giroud has never been the right fit for them.
