Christ He's had enough chances to have scored 3 or 4 by now, laugh it off but from what I've seen he's best attacking crosses and we're not set up for that. I'd start Cisse on Sunday. We've scored a pitiful amount of pre season goals against mostly poor opposition playing at about 80%. He's had an hour of playing time in pre season where he's spent most of it joining us and getting a visa. What he does at the moment really means f*** all to me, also he's got into more goalscoring positions than Cisse has in that 60 mins. The goals will come, what's the point in sticking with someone who hardly gets any chances because physically he's too easy to play against. He's shown enough he can be very effective, so what if the goals haven't come in pre season? give the lad more than an hour before you decide nah i want Austin I want them both, I happen to think that too much will be expected of Mitrovic if he starts next week. The left back position is most pressing for me and going into the season without any semblance of a settled back four is asking for trouble. He's played and scored in the CL against Arsenal and Dortmund, doubt the pressure of our fans will mean much.

Aye that's what i want as well. Expecting Sissoko to start over Perez though.

Even if McClaren is honest with his want to become more of a team that plays through midfield it's going to take a while for some of these players to adjust, just hope we get enough results in the mean time while they are adjusting.

Aye it's been shit, i think the players are fit enough to start the season but it's been the expense of cohesion and overall learning to play together as a team.

Would be worried if we had failed to create anything, but we created more than enough to win the game. I said converting chances, it's something we were poor at last season and pre-season has been no different. Yeah but in the past we have hardly created any to begin with, time will tell whether we will or not but the brunt of the problem has been we don't create anything to begin with.

Aye i'm more bothered about creating chances considering we have been shite at it for years. If we create chances the goals will eventually follow.

The pre season before we finished 5th was miles worse, it's been shit but we have had a lot worse.

I think he played RB because he's focused on fitness and believe that Taylor and Williamson need more time than Janmaat does. As long as he's fit he'll play CB, i don't think it means anything.

We are not going to spend 8m on Janmaat's back up ffs he'll play CB as long as he's healthy don't worry.

He was our best player until he he went off, plus it's his actual position where as Colback can't play there effectively. CM should be he and Wijnaldum, front 4 can be anything from Sissoko,De Jong, Mitrovic, Perez and Aarons. Really not bothered what combination as long it's from those players.

I don't want to see Wijnaldum anywhere else but CM, was miles better there.

I have been reasonably happy considering what's out there tbh, expected it to be a lot worse. Hopefully McClaren brings on some of the better players on the bench on.
