  1. Has amazing vision, anyone that doesn't like watching him play needs their eyes tested.
  2. Class, hopefully he pushes on love watching Oxlade play.
  3. That's been said for years, can't see it happening personally. They know that they need the smaller clubs to exist.
  4. If he wouldn't obviously start yeah, but in any case he's too similar to what we have already. Look at all the good teams they don't have forwards of the same ilk and everyone brings something different to the team.
  5. Been ages since it was on BBC/ITV iirc.
  6. I think Berahino would be a better partner for Mitrovic than Austin. By a million miles. He's also a far better player in general. Only thing Austin has over him is he seems less of a mardy modern footballer type. Regardless, it matters little because we'd never pay the money to sign Berahino. Ah but Berahino is an arrogant tit whilst Austin has scored at every level he's been at. With Austin you pay for an effective goalscorer, for Berahino you're paying a higher price essentially for his potential. And personally I think it's potentially he'll never reach. Perhaps harsh, but feel he'll fall into a similar category of footballers as Scott Sinclair in a few years. So what? how about we analyse what the team needs instead of going for " goals tho!" and completely ignore the balance of the team and what would compliment what we have. Not like it matters as we won't get him, but i'm not sure why people want Austin so much when he's an extremely bad fit and would completely imbalance the team.
  7. Even if he doesn't, that's a really shit reason considering the alternatives.
  8. Cech, Bellerin, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Monreal, Coquelin, Ramsey, Cazorla, Ozil, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Walcott. Courtois, Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Azpilicueta, Matic, Fabregas, Ramires, Willian, Hazard, Remy.
  9. That's not completely true though, the only constants are Bayern, Real and Barca. Even the last 3 finals had Juventus, Dortmund and Atletico. Not exactly teams which throw money at everything or teams which the majority thought would be in a final going into that particular season either. The KOs are the only really high standard of football IMO, most of the leagues are shit nowadays tbh.
  10. There's more than one way to create though as has been discussed before, he can definitely create chances for others just by moving off the ball well and creating space for others and same goes for Wijnaldum. Having players who know how to move off the off the ball would be nice for once.
  11. I like the one man break, he can move the game from our box to the oppositions and we should get more from that if we are getting players around him to receive the ball. Sissoko need to look to release the ball better but I don't hold it against him that he wasn't doing that when he had no or little support. It's much easier when you know you have players around you who will do something if you bring them into play.
  12. I'm not writing Sissoko off because he wasn't always good while playing for Pardew and Carver. He has ability and I think he can be a big player for us if we are looking to set the team up a bit more positively than we did for long periods under the above mentioned nuggets. Don't disagree, it's just a personal taste really. I believe we should be packing the team with as much technical ability and intelligence as possible, Perez and De Jong are both above him in that regard. Even if Sissoko provides something that no one else on the team can do in terms of the one man break. In any case as long as the front 4 consists of De Jong, Sissoko, Perez, Aarons, Mitrovic and nobody else i wouldn't complain too much.
  13. De Jong is clearly very intelligent, in terms of his movement and passing. We have lacked that sort of intelligence in the final third for a long time, hopefully he combined with Wijnaldum will provide that.
  14. Wijnaldum was miles better when he went to CM, hope he's nowhere the AM position at any stage tbh.
  15. Tbf based on pre season as that's all we have to go on I would start De Jong but I would also start Perez. It's Sissoko who I wouldn't start personally.
  16. Irrelevant of the performance, Colback is just awful as a DM. He absolutely has no idea how to play the position, Anita for all his faults he at least knows how to play the position.
  17. Metro L'Equipe. Aren't they also always wrong? Mixed really, hit and miss is definitely the best way to describe them.
  18. I wouldn't, he'd be a much better partner for what we already have. Brings something we don't have in pace and the versatility to play outwide. Obviously not happening though.
  19. KOs of CL is only standard of football that is genuinely good atm IMO.
  20. They have sold two strikers tbf.
  21. Based on WC and Copa America it is, but who knows if that's a fair reflection of him as a player.
  22. That's true, i doubt we would have though. Only Carver was shit enough to do so and even he needed like a run of 1 win in 13 to do it
