  1. Taylor should be playing, i won't argue that at all. The other 3 who could start at Southampton, fitness wise could start a game tomorrow though IMO. Obviously hopefully something prevents Williamson from playing against Southampton. Would prefer a 50% Colo and Mbemba( assuming he's granted a visa in time) over that waste of space.
  2. Agreed, it's not a strange thing to see either. Most clubs do similar throughout pre season, Barca's team against Chelsea last night had like one starter. I'm really not concerned by it, what i am concerned by is the fit defenders are all shit and we again haven't bought anywhere near the required players.
  3. As if it makes a difference, none of the four will be near the match day squad matter about the starting eleven I haven't paid too much attention, but has Colo even featured a minute in pre season games? And that Mbemba kid, has he featured for Anderlecht in pre season at all? Has Saylor seen significant pitch time? How are our starting central defenders supposed to be match fit vs Southampton? I haven't watched a game but from what i gather Haidara and Janmaat have pretty much played every game, Williamson has played a lot and Taylor has played enough where as Colo hasn't played a minute. It's a mess no doubt, seeing as Colo isn't fit and Mbemba has been delayed due to Visa requirements but what happens tonight isn't going to change any of that positively or negatively. Agreed. Point is, it should have changed positively. Has Colo been spotted around the training ground? Just seems really odd that our captain and leading central defenders hasn't even featured in pre season and we are 90 minutes away from our first league game (after tonight's game)... I don't disagree, but no one seems to have a clue what's going on with Colo. Club are being vague as usual so he might still be injured. Haidara and Janmaat don't really need to play for fitness reasons and neither does Williamson. ( hopefully Mbemba and Colo are available for Southampton even if they are unfit it can't be worse) The only one who could start at Southampton that you could argue needs to play every minute is probably Taylor, the rest are fine for opening day and will obviously play against Gladbach except for Colo and Mbemba and there's outside issues there. It's more a state of available of defenders being crap than it is a bad team selection.

  6. So Pardew and his entire backroom staff are gone? http://michiganjournal.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/tumblr_lu419rDeQl1r0w390.jpg
  7. Assuming Mbemba gets his visa then yeah.
  8. Milan's midfield is horrible, he probably would get significant game time.
  9. Been a long time since we had a player who the opposition didn't like playing against physically.
  10. Don't expect him to be anywhere near the finisher Costa is but if he can bring a similar attitude and be better in the build up (which isn't hard) then I'll be happy.
  11. we've 'enough' forward players and midfielders, get some f***ing defenders... 3 minimum Inc. Mbemba We really don't, we have one winger in the entire squad. So my question is...... http://41.media.tumblr.com/98e2792d6184bdf82b8941e1a4e30ac4/tumblr_inline_nquvhlw3k31rf5b85_500.jpg
  12. I don't disagree, just considering my lack of knowledge on the subject i'll see what Southampton has to offer before i know whether it's shit or not.
  13. Unless a new one has gone on air in last 10 mins, she isn't new been there for well over a year.
  14. He's an inconsistent player by nature tbh, not sure that will ever change. As for CL, you won't find a footballer who thinks differently he just happens to be more outgoing with his views.
  15. Sissoko naturals position. Still can't work out where he favours to play to be honest. He's blown hot and cold in every position he's been asked to play since signing for us. What is His "preferred position" exactly. CM B2B, stick with it consistently and you'll get performances out of them there. Trouble is we have rarely tried it and when ever it went wrong under Pardew he'd stop it ( that goes with anything really), impossible to get any sort of continuity when every time something doesn't go well you scrap it.
  16. I don't want him as an anchorman in particularly, he never was that good at just sitting anyway. When he looked good he just run around tackling everything in sight within a certain radius, it worked from a certain point of view because Cabaye was so close to him all the time. I wouldn't even trust him to do that again though, he's just too thick and makes too many idiotic decisions that are not always to do with bad passing.
