I don't get why people are still bringing this up Literally nobody is denying they should have done a better job at building a solid defence.
-
Lovren has been terrible his entire career except for Southampton, also I don't think it's fair to pin individual mistakes on a manager. Structural and systematic problems sure you can blame the manager, but not individual mistakes as that's on the player. How about an awful transfer strategy failing to address their real problems for two years running? Come on man it's not like I'm defending everything Klopp has done, just certain specific things that are being brought up today. The inability to bring in good defenders is completely on him and everyone else recruitment wise at Liverpool.

He does it sometimes but not often, always shocks me
-
He wouldn't, Klopp isn't covering himself in glory but I don't think some quite understand how big the gap between Spurs, Manchester sides and the rest is. Klopp will finish between 4th and 6th, as would Rafa.

The team you are playing surprises and dare i say seems somewhat stupid. We'll see though, if nothing else it gives Eriksen more options in attack that i always complain about.

Football doesn't work that way, Everton are not struggling because of their individuals but because they are poorly built and have zero balance. Basically look at Burnley, i don't think Dyche is some amazing manager doing an amazing job that nobody in the league could replicate. I just think the mental part of the game is vastly underrated and the technical part vastly overrated. People keep saying how this team is much more talented than ours, but i really don't see it. Talent isn't just an ability to dribble or pass, there's much more to it than that. As bad as a job the likes of Hughes, Bilic and Koeman are doing i do genuinely feel the players they have are put on a pedestal they simply don't deserve to be placed on. It's not as simple as manager is shit so players talented will do better with better managers. It's the same argument i had a while back about the Belgium national team, while the manager was doing a bad job the talent they had was vastly overrated to what people were expecting or at least it was talent which didn't fit with one another. It's not as black and white as some of you are seeing it, but lets agree to disagree because we are not going to see it the same way obviously.

You could say it will be a slam dunk.
-
Interested to see who they get, whoever it is has a hell of a job on.

Arsenal's form improved when Ozil wasn't playing fwiw Even so, i'd still rather take my chances than play Welbeck and Iwobi.
-
Despite the obvious defensive issues, i'd like to know why it's take till 22nd October for Lacazette, Sanchez and Ozil to play together.
-
Well obviously, motivation, organisation and confidence is the large part of the game when it comes to football. It's a hard thing to quantify and quite frankly despite the fact i'm the main person arguing it also quite pointless. We have Rafa so that's all that matters really.

Considering they have 3 points in 9 games i find it very hard to believe they'll be fine. Not just that but only scored in one of those 9 games and are already pushing close to -20 goal difference. They're two wins away from getting out of the relegation zone, we're 9 games in and they've just changed their manager and tactics. They've easily got enough to stay up. They just need to start scoring goals and they'll be fine imo. You make it sound so easy
-
Palace. A certainty? Not a chance. Their quality is far superior to the likes of Sunderland, Middlesbrough, and pre-Silva Hull from last season. It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if Palace stayed up, I think West Ham and Stoke are in more trouble purely because they haven't removed their managers yet. This is what i mean by overrating talent imo. Palace are absolutely awful, they have a couple of decent dribblers but that's it. Same goes for Stoke, West Ham etc etc all of them are vastly overrated in terms of talent. We might not have eye catching talent or hyped up young players but the players we do have work hard, not mentally naive and positionally excellent for the most part. ( some of that is down to Rafa but some of them are good at that regardless) Which for the most part is much more effective at winning games at football at the lower end than a few dribbles here and there. There's no doubt Rafa is making us perform well above our level, i mean we are 6th ffs but of the teams you expect to be down there i think we are better with any manager who isn't actively making it worse.
-
Stoke's defence is utter garbage in fairness to him, i mean they gave up like 5 chances to Joselu.
-
I thought Pickford was Irish for some reason, don't really know why.
-
I wouldn't even be surprised.

I'll bet you any f***ing money that the fans will be attributed with that s**** at some stage. tbf they have signed Icardi in the other thread We aren't serious ffs.
-
Obviously it depends on the manager, Pardew would have us relegated without a doubt. I just think a lot of the teams from 10th downwards are very overrated talent wise, with or without Rafa i think we are better than the bottom 6 imo. The front 2 are utter garbage but most of the team belongs in the 11th-15th range. Basically any manager who doesn't actively make the team worse would have us safe personally.

Based on the interview Szcezney gave recently i'd believe that tbh I'd like to say he's just shitting on former employees but quite frankly watching them play i believe it.
-
According to former players, no.
-
Nobody, the squad is actually better than people think. Don't get me wrong it's still shite But i don't think we'd go down with a different manager tbh.( obviously within reason) Rafa is doing a fantastic job, goes without saying but i think people overplay it sometimes.
-
Because the problem with their defence isn't the goalkeeper or the defence, it's everything in front of them. They get no cover or support what so ever, if they were to completely revamp their midfield they would be better defensively, i can pretty much guarantee it. But i don't see that happening so it's a moot point. It's why i laugh when every year everyone mentions they need a CB, it's the not the problem rather there's a systematic issue with the team which makes every one look like shite. Just like how Rafa is making all of our defenders look good.
