While I agree with you I would worry considering who the offensive options are. I'd like to think Rafa would slightly tweak things with better offensive talent.

Rafa did that in a game to close it out, obviously Lejeune's penalty fucked that up. I can't see him ever doing that to start a game for reasons which have been stated a million times.

As I don't watch why are Valencia doing well? I recall they have been pretty bad in recent seasons.

Well obviously people disagree. I think he's fucking awful though, the only reason we haven't concede loads of goals is more due to luck than judgment as well as the team as a whole being very organised and able to cover for his shit mistakes. I'd rather not see him again and prevent that from actually happening, because if he continues to play he will be at fault for at least one goal. It's only a matter of time.

I honestly don't care about that because no one on the team can't control a football except for Merino, Shelvey and at times Ritchie. But at least Dummett doesn't force his CB to cover his arse and front up Townsend because he's constantly out of position.

Out of pure luck than anything else. Pretty much every time today and against Southampton, every time the opposition went down his side they were able to get a chance out of it. He was extremely lucky against Southampton that Tadic missed an open goal, while today Lejeune had to constantly cover for him because he was nowhere to be seen. He's awful, as much as we all dislike Dummett i don't ever recall him ever being as bad.

Unfair to say he's lieing to himself just because he saw it differently Tbh i agree with Greg, while Merino was misplacing passes there was massive difference in control and our ability to move up the pitch when he came on. Not to say that Diame and IMO Ritchie and Atsu switching wings didn't have a bigger impact but i do think Merino had an impact on the team even if he wasn't passing it great himself.

I don't really agree tbh, i think they have a really good team when they are allowed to actually show it as they showed pre Liverpool game as they were smashing every team. I just think since Liverpool, Mourinho has reverted to type and not allowed them to express themselves. Something i think is harmful to his team.

Just as when Mourinho decided he's gonna stop letting the team score and revert to type, funny how that works. I genuinely don't think there's a lot between those two Manchester teams talent wise. It's just one shows confidence in his players and doesn't put shackles on them, while the other gets very negative the minute pressure is put on. I know there's a lot of stuff put into Guardiola and a so called lack of a plan B but it must be very helpful to his players that no matter what he wants his team to play the same way. Feel the same way about Rafa for us, but obviously in a very different way.
