  1. I would. Acceptable as a stop gap on the last day of the transfer window, but not now with a whole month to sort out a long term replacement. He's not that bad, he has 29 in 71 games compared to Ba's 36 in 66 games. Not to mention most of that has been spent out wide and he's very quick, i would want quite a few players before him but he really isn't that bad. It's not going to happen anyway.
  2. Aye we have passing the ball for the last month playing 4-2-3-1, Cisse has been quoted about playing as a central striker and we have been constantly linked with wing-forwards. But we are going to hoof it and 4-4-2 all over again i'm sure the likes of Coloccini who have reportedly complained about style of play will be happy with that.

Having a very good season. Remarkable improvement on last year. His distribution is the only thing that has let him down. Sounds very familiar

Krul is better than Mignolet but Mignolet has been better this season.... not many better GKs in the league this season tbh. Won them a shit load of points in comparison to what they would have without him.
  5. You've gone and done it now..... Maiga here we come.
  6. All our penalty takers are injured or leaving Colo will be stepping up soon

    Loïc Remy

His trainers are whiter than my teeth ffs.
  8. Disagree.... if we stick to the 4-2-3-1 we have used since the Southampton defeat then it would make more sense IMO to buy a versatile forward like Remy who can play CF but also on the wings and a winger. Not many teams have many CF's these days because most teams use a system with 1 striker up top so if we continue to use that system i fail to see how we need to buy 2 strikers.
  9. We haven't played 4-4-2 since losing to Southampton......
  10. "Hi there sir, my name is Mathew, and I'm signing for Newcastle United for a fee of precisely five point six million pounds. Good day."
  11. It will be the best performance of the year so far. But, also the worst.

I was reading yesterday, can't remember where think it might have been Marseille forum. That apparently despite our season being a bit shit so far our rep in France is still ridiculously high one of the reasons being that they like the fact we dont rush new signings into the line up and usually with injuries they dont rush them back. ( Must have missed Ben Arfa recently mind ) So hopefully this will help us in signing players despite the fact we are 2 points above the relegation zone.

Remy will definitely leave L'OM IMO. It's more of a case of will it be us rather than him staying there, he hasn't started all year and he's too high profile a player on too high wages for them to keep on the bench. I'm still not confident on him joining though, i just can't be when you consider past transfer windows
  15. Not always straight away though and we need to replace him asap.

Hope so, but we have been burnt too often before to actually be confident about anything.
  17. It's more because he's actually a defender rather than a midfielder who has filled in at full back rather than actual ability/development. True but even so Tavernier isn't any better of a defender at this stage and unlike Ferguson he hasn't been part of the squad. Every time we take fullback off and move Santon to RB.... Ferguson comes on theres nothing meaningless behind this.... Theres more chance of Ferguson starting there than Tavernier tbh, if Tavernier was this close to starting he would have had more minutes.
  18. Not sure why people have more faith in Tavernier than Ferguson when its quite obvious Ferguson is further along than Tavernier is at the moment.... Tavernier doesn't have a cat in hells chance of starting tonight.
  19. Obviously, he was reported to be off to Arsenal one of the rags yesterday Don't muck around do they?
  20. Think I would go that way too. agree re ferguson, but i'd go perch to right back and bring bigi into the middle. It's another option, but Perch has looked shaky the last couple of times he's started at right back. He's s*** anywhere apart from DM usually despite how others like to paint it. Unfortunately Ferguson hasn't really convinced at FB either although he'll definitely have more going forward and Naismith isn't the trickiest of players although he does pop with goals. And Coleman is a doubt. That's the reason im confident in Ferguson doing a job there, so far defensively hes not convincing but Evertons right side is a bit weak currently and not really something that should concern him. (famous last words)
  21. Got to wonder what some of the bigger pros are going to think- the likes of Krul, Colo, Ben Arfa, Cabaye. Well, we are losing a brilliant striker and definitely one of the best in the league It's not as if the club are showing a lack of ambition by letting him go on the cheap. He had a clause which we've battled to have removed from his contract. It was out of our hands. Hopefully the signing of Debuchy will help show the players we are trying to push forward, of course it isn't enough but its a start.
  22. We have been playing with 5 in midfield for weeks now i think Pardew has cemented on the system he wants to use and now Demba is leaving Cisse will be through the middle unless injuries prevent otherwise. We have not used 4-4-2 in weeks not concerned about that at all.
