  1. I think Marcelo and Alba are better but can't think of too many others.
  2. As i said i don't find it a coincidence that we have fallen apart since Cabaye got injured and it's no coincidence either that our best form over last 2 years has come when Taylor and Colo are both fit.
  3. Definitely, Fellaini is great and all but when i watch Everton Baines seems the main threat to me.
  4. Think we miss Cabaye and Taylor more tbh.
  5. I think we have cracking players too, just Moyes makes better use of the ones at his disposal.
  6. Did i just write "The Wigan" f*ck me i'm going to bed thats enough.
  7. he's not going to be a massive change on the defensive side (apart from the oppo being more wary of him getting the ball) I think its this attitude that full backs have to be stoppers first and foremost is what has been our downfall for some time now. In any wide position its essential for a player to be skillful and creative. Whether he can then go and kick lumps off the opposition winger comes secondary to me. If we'd have set up from the off this season with 3 centre backs and Santon & Fergie as wing backs, our league position would be much healthier right now. Its a back 3 that provides good defensive cover at all times. A system we never seem to want to play! definitly, full backs are the new goalkeepers in that they are so important but don't get the recognition, financially and tactically. Been saying that for a while, ridiculous how teams ignore how important they are. It's no coincidence that the best teams have f*cking quality attacking fullbacks. The best teams have quality everything. Not always they just make up for it having ridiculous amount of class in other areas....
  8. Practically every game he has played since the Wigan has been in the middle.... 3 man midfield or as a #10 the difference is so little there's no point discussing the differences

  10. I didn't notice Fellaini all game tbh. Baines and Pienaar ( as i predicted) caused a lot more problems than he did.
  11. Anita-Cabaye-Marveaux midfield if we press properly would be class i'm not convinced Pardew has the nous or the balls to do it quite frankly.
  12. Getting stuck in is overrated tbh.
  13. I don't think i felt so meh towards a NUFC game for a very long time, our league form has led me to a state of couldn't care less about this game. Just desperate for our league form to improve, the fact we are even being talked about relegation with these players is a f*cking joke. Sort it out !
  14. I think Bigi is similar to him in the sense of positional sense and overall football brain.... No coincidence that against Arsenal and Man Utd when he started we looked quite good with him on and were over the f*cking place when Pards took him off. Also don't get me started on Tiote when it comes to positional sense because he has none Cabaye's defensive work that led to all those clean sheets has long gone under appreciated we look like Arsenal at the moment except we can't create for shit.
  15. Pardew having the balls to drop Tiote and Jonas Anyway we need him back something serious i hope he's back for Norwich.
  16. People can say our midfield is functioning fine but people are overlooking what Cabaye does defensively. I'm sure there was a stat which said he made the most tackles in our team last year. Sure he was in the top 5 for tackles made in the whole PL last year. He was top. 10. Kyle Walker (Tottenham Hotspur) – 96 Tackles 9. Marouane Fellaini (Everton) – 99 Tackles 8. Alex Song (Arsenal) – 100 Tackles 7. Youssuf Mulumbu (West Bromwich Albion) – 101 Tackles 6. Patrice Evra (Manchester United) – 104 Tackles 5. Maynor Figueroa (Wigan Athletic) – 107 Tackles 4. Scott Parker (Tottenham Hotspur) – 107 Tackles 3. Joe Allen (Swansea City) – 110 Tackles 2. Moussa Dembélé (Fulham) – 113 Tackles 1. Yohan Cabaye (Newcastle United) – 116 Tackles http://www.barriesview.com/2012/05/premier-league-201112-most-frequent-tacklers He's still s*** and invisible though. /moron I know your being sarcastic but i thought id comment on the people that say that..... what he does is a lot more effective that Tiote running round like a headless chicken smashing into people and leaving large areas of space for the opposition to run into. I bet right now that our performances magically improve when he comes back and failing that the results will.

Yohan Cabaye (Newcastle United) – 116 Tackles http://www.barriesview.com/2012/05/premier-league-201112-most-frequent-tacklers Not to mention he was 2nd behind Mulumbu in interceptions for midfielders last season too....
  18. People can say our midfield is functioning fine but people are overlooking what Cabaye does defensively. I'm sure there was a stat which said he made the most tackles in our team last year. We are playing two defensive midfielders in every game. The goals aren't coming through lack of cover in central midfield so we need to get away from this excuse. And they are doing nowhere near the job combined at protecting the back 4 than Cabaye did..... It's not a coincidence we have collapsed since he got injured.
  19. It depends. If Cabaye is back he might make the difference. Our recent run of form has been the same period he's been injured. That's my last straw of hope any way. We lost 2 games before he got injured, he's the glue that holds this whole team together..... i don't think people realise how important he is even now. Without him we can't defend, control, battle, create and to some extent score. The 2 we lost before his injury were to Chelsea and Man Utd. Since he's been injured we've become addicted to losing. Aye.

    Alan Pardew

There's no point picking the right system if you can't put the players in their right place, have the right mentality and have a style of play that fits said players in that system. All of it is key for a working football team and we could play 4-3-3 every week at the moment and we would still look shite.
  22. Douglas mentioned earlier we would buy atleast 1 striker..... Take it with a huge pinch of salt mind but Gouffran would be good as long as he's not the only one.
  23. Nah Pards needs to sort himself out, he does that we will be fine regardless of who we buy.
