Anyway goodbye Demba and best of luck at Chelsea and thanks for all your goals which without we never have returned to Europe.
-
Marveaux-Cisse-Obertan it is
-
I would laugh my arse off if we sold Ba and then went and signed Debuchy, Remy and a CB. Wouldn't be the first time we had done it either, when Enrique left and accused us of lacking ambition we signed Ba, Marveaux, Obertan, Santon, Cabaye etc etc. Seems we have to sell players before we start getting off our arse

Completely agree, the link has been denied anyway but i wouldn't be against him at all personally.
-
Different transfer but it still applies
-
I think he presses the area he operates in pretty well but as far as tracking back goes he can be very lazy as you say.
-
Yeah me as well and i'm not too bothered about it all tbh, he wants to go to Chelsea? so be it just make sure we replace him and move on. Newcastle United Football Club was here long before Demba and we be here long after Demba..... Thanks for the goals big man.

If Ben Arfa was fit i think we might risk it, but i can't see Pardew dropping him. What's the best front 3 we could muster at the moment? Marveaux-Cisse-Obertan? can't see it myself.

Again though we are playing a 4-2-3-1 at the moment and seems the best fit for the majority of the team from an attacking point of view. How would buying another CF who can't operate in either flank make any sense? Read it again you dork.
-
Debuchy, Douglas, Remy In. Ba and Simpson out. That would be a pretty damn good window. Not saying it will happen, but we need a right back and a centre back as a matter of urgency. Then we need a wide player/forward if Ba leaves. Marv has started to look a player, albeit in a bit more of a central role, we have HBA to come back, Obertan has been less s***..... If we had a front three of Remy, Cisse and HBA, with the others pushing for a place, I wouldn't complain! Yeah i'm talking long term i'm not convinced we would buy anything more than Debuchy, CB and a forward. If Ba leaves this window i would like to see a concentrated effort to switching to 4-2-3-1 full time and with that in mind i think buying a Forward like Remy and a winger in the summer would make more sense than 2 forwards.
-
Hell i would rather play Cabaye there and put Marveaux behind Cisse But aye Debuchy, Remy and a CB would be fantastic.

I don't quite agree with that btw. If Ba goes we don't need two forwards if we stick with 4-2-3-1 and buy a forward who can play wide and upfront. 1 forward and 1 winger would make more sense considering the needs of the system. But yeah it does depend on what system we plan to use in the long term and if we buy a Forward like Remy or not.

Our local reporter ( normally not very accurate and not trusted) says its BS too, when i first heard it quite frankly it did sound something that would never be true in a million years.

No worries, i think we win as well but yeah it won't be easy at all. I'll feel a lot more confident about the 2nd half of season if we win too; Debuchy coming in, key players coming back, style of play improving and hopefully more signings to follow. Moyes was talking today about maybe us doing an Everton and having an strong 2nd half of season and tbh i think we are capable of that but first and foremost we have to win tonight. -

We have only lost once in our last 10 at home to these..... worried now ? Means absolutely nothing. Exactly the point i was making..... Icarus was not worried so surely a record such as that would cause more worry than optimism as it means nothing and more likely to mean we lose than anything -
Depends on how Bigirimana and Marveaux progress IMO, if we continue with the system and style of play i'm not sure we do. Tiote, Bigirimana, Anita, Cabaye and Marveaux... plus Hatem could play that Marveaux role if we was in a pinch. Perch and Jonas can do a holding job if we need them to as well, the real thing is making sure the system and style of play is right. The real problem for the majority of the season is we was limiting our midfield through such abject tactics. We definitely need one if Tiote leaves but if he stays i'm not certain we do.

Who at LB then? Ferguson.... he know he isn't that great defensively but he's good going forward and Everton's right side are nowhere near as strong as their left side. Perch will play in midfield and other than that their really isn't any other choices. -
I would definitely look at a CM( if Tiote is sold) and a winger in the summer but it's not a priority for this window. Hope this is true.

What would Beagrie know about PL quality ? he spent most of his years playing for Bradford ffs the stupid twat.
