  1. My first time at St James' and i got to see Matt Ritchie score. Have to see the match again, but it i think we were missing an actual stiker so much. I thought before that Barnes could do the job maybe, but yeah that wont work. Every time Gordon went wide Barnes disappeared.
  2. Dont want to go through the whole match chat, but what were the names that Eddie was called etc? There are (maybe)some valid points of criticism that people are raising, and then some good discussion on those points on "both sides". Hardly anyone has wanted him sacked or anything like that. Surely It is very hard not to like him as a Newcastle fan, whatever you think of Burn or Hall or anything? I have been thinking that it is almost a straw man or something imaginery when people raising some points get branded of hating Eddie etc. But maybe there really are some name calling or this and that. Clearly the win ment a lot for Eddie today btw
  3. Yeah would be great to do something before the score
  4. He is going to save a penalty in this, aint he
  5. We did the same play vs Brentford in the 5-1 win. It was header from Bruno then. Great goal!
  6. We did this vs Brentford 21/22 at home, beautiful!! Just seen the highlights today and was thinking that why dont we do those anymore
  7. This is the thing. He is not using one, and that is why we have not signed a "6". The conversation of a 6 is pointless in a way, if he would want someone just protect the defense, surely Longstaff or Bruno would be asked to do it - even if its not their best position
  8. Also, everyone is pointing out that we dont have naturaly defensive minded midfielder and that is correct. But i dont think it would matter who we had in the roster because no one is asked to do that job. That is why we dont have a "6", we dont play with one. By the way, how did we do it last season? The midfield structure had to be little different? The answer cant be just that Joelinton is injured? That is where the frustration comes from, some things seems so obvious but nothing seems to change. Well, let's win the cup and worry about these things in the summer.
  9. They did their homework. Drop someone in the 10 area to play for free and then target the space behind Burn. That is all it takes, Emery missed the trick. Great to see Barnes back!

    Alexander Isak

    .....and he is out
  11. It seems that he needed those extra days at training to make some much needed changes, and good for him. Great to see that he came trough the awful run of results. But also, it literally says on that twitter post that the pressing structure has remained unchanged. It is strange subject to gloat or get back on people, i think it almost underlines the point that we needed different ideas during the injury crisis but we largely tried the same thing. And to note, as all of us should be, i am a huge fan of Eddie. It is just that i think that even he can sometimes make mistakes. The great thing is that he always learns and moves forward eventually, but the does not seem to be the kind of manager who is quick to tinker.
  12. What a result. Wow!! Also, some brilliant football played, we are coming back no doubt
