Can I shock you? I really rate Murphy. Despite what I said earlier -

If we go into next season starting Jacob Murphy I’m marching to Saudi to have words with the owner. -
Nice to see Sels is just as shit as he was years ago

Perfect tackle for me. Common sense prevails. -

Usually critical of both, but Burn and Dubravka have had good games in my opinion. -

Was at the West Brom game last night, and it was so obvious in real time it was miles outside the box. Absolutely baffling. -

Once again bringing on a player that has proven to not be good enough for years. Don’t care if Murphy is young, can hardly be worse -

Football is mint at times. Hopefully Anderson and Hall start on Tuesday. Give them a chance over those who have no future here. -

Some top effort from Murphy to get back there -
Living with a West Brom who is loving the Ballard disasterclass.

Newcastle United 0-1 Borussia Dortmund (25/10/23)

Today was just one of those days. Effort was there, but it just wasn’t clicking. To get out the group I think we need to win away at Dortmund, so that match will be huge -
Tino Livramento: will miss remainder of season with ankle injury

He’s our back up Incredible, and that’s in a game that doesn’t even show off some of the best parts of him game -
Had worse Tuesdays tbh

Been very impressed so far this season, hopefully he keeps it up. Already one booking from a suspension though

Brighton & Hove Albion 3-1 Newcastle United (02/09/23)

This half has already exceeded the shitness of the first half. Not sure how no changes have been made -
Not particularly a fan of Adidas’ latest stuff, but as long as we get some decent retro shirts I’m happy. Having to deal with dodgy dodgy DH gate version of the shield shirt, and would pay decent money for a proper version

That has to be a penalty for me. Never get given when goalkeepers take someone out after the ball is gone, but if its a defender it's a stonewaller and nobody would complain.

Had a weird feeling he is going to have a good season based on the Under 21s. Thought the first 20 minutes he was exceptional, tired a bit and again started the second half well but again faded. As he gets more and more games for us, feel he will start to get fitter and will be able to keep up that level over the whole game. Very good start and really hope he keeps it up.

Hearing from a few friends who are West Brom fans that us and Villa have had a bid accepted for Josh Griffiths for around £7m. Young English goalkeeper. Seems solid enough. They’ve heard rumours about us being interested him all summer but yet to actually hear any rumours about him from our end.

My arse fully dropped with that one shot they had

Newcastle United vs. Leicester City: 22/05/23 @ 20:00 (Sky Sports)

Fully nervous. Few cans in, going to need a few more and a couple of goals to settle the nerves down -
Think we were very poor throughout, and it’s disappointing to not win when 2-1 up. However, this is a good point for me providing we win on Thursday. Now a must win unless Liverpool drop points Monday.

Cabaye to Cisse against Stoke was the best I’ve seen, but that could have topped it

I have no issues with it. The lad has had a big move, struggled to get a lot of minutes and ended up getting frustrated after getting subbed after he came on. He’ll learn the reason for the sub, and grow from it. No worries about him whatever.

I have been quite critical of his cameo performances recently, but he was exceptional when coming on today. Exactly what you what, taking the ball and beating his man. It is a lot easier though when he isn’t coming on when the opposition aren’t putting a lot of men behind the ball. Think he needs to be starting games where we should be winning. Pointless bringing him on in games where he has 3 men in front of him so can do nothing
