Looks brilliant both defending and going forward, Pardew was probably right to ease him in because he looks phenomenal. The one worry they had was about him being a bit lightweight and maybe not getting stuck in, but he's looked strong on the ball and in the tackle. In terms of his talent and potential and the way he's playing - absolute bargain.

Everything changed as soon as Ben Arfa came on the pitch. Plain and simple.

Don't understand how anyone could have taken that seriously at all, the amount of people on my facebook buzzing over it is hilarious!

I've never seen a 'professional' pundit be so obviously biased. The man is a complete and utter doylecunt in every sense of the word.

With the appointment of Hughes, I'm not as confident of winning this match as I was when Warnock was manager. Realistically we should be winning this sort of fixture, especially at home, but the new manager bounce is something that always worries me. I still think we'll win mind, 1-0 scoreline. We should have more than enough to sort out QPR, even without Ba.

Isn't he more of a winger/no.10 type? I've voted yes, but I can see it going sour if we did get him. I believe he's a central midfielder, although like you say he plays a bit more of an advanced role further up the pitch - more similar to Vuckic really.
-
We might as well just leave him. Is the risk really worth it when we have Guthrie, Gosling, Vuckic and Abeid? I'm of the opinion that he would just be another Ranger - raw talent but doesn't have the mentality to ever be a success. Plus at £1million he'd be Ashley's big money winter signing and we'd have to sell Tiote and Krul to balance the books (probably on deadline day) after spending such a hefty sum.

He's one of those players that can unlock a defence with one little piece of magic, if he gives the ball away now and again it's not all that bad because it's his job as a creative flair player to make that one pass or to draw enough defenders away from the strikers with his skill to make something like that happen. He needs confidence in his own ability to be able to perform that role to his best and to be honest he's never lost it. One of Ben Arfa's 'flaws' perhaps, is that he is arrogant as fuck... However at the same time it's also one of his greatest assets because he's always confident in his own ability to do his job. Pardew really needs to give him an extended run because in fairness he's probably the most naturally talented player in the whole team.

I'd rather have Raylor and Santon in the fullback slots to be honest, it gives us a much better option down the flanks to attack QPR.
-
Exactly when I thought when I seen this! Ben Arfa at least looks like he's going to create something when he picks up the ball whereas with Obertan the only thing he's going to create is a fucking catastrophe by just giving the ball to the opposition every time.
-
I'd agree with that. Get rid of Ranger and draft in this young'un instead. There's only enough room for one complete and utter penis in our squad.
-
He was doing the exact same with Cahill & Samba today, surely a north east journalist with no relationship to Spurs could question him on it without the worry of that cutting ties with them Get Alan Oliver to do it, he writes for The People now so it's not as if his work contains any facts or sources. He can afford to upset the man who needs an iron mask.

To say what has probably already been said 1000 times, Harry Redknapp is a hypocrite with a very silly face, to put it mildly. He threw his toys about the pram when Chelsea discussed Modric in public, now he thinks it's OK to talk about Ba. Pipe down 'Arry you fucking tosser.

I'd love to see Wolves bite the dust, a thug club who let utter neanderthals such as Karl Henry and George Elokobi onto a football pitch, although admittedly I would not say this to George Elokobi's face. Mick McCarthy just does my chebs in; as well as being a horrible moaning, groaning ex-SMB he looks like a relentlessly chewed-upon pencil with a f*cking stupid white eraser at the top. Generally they are just a waste of space in the Premier League. I'd also like to see Blackburn go down which is almost certain to happen too (hooray!), but before that I'd like to see them sack Steve Kean and reappoint Souness so I can have an even greater laugh at their expense than I already am. It'll never happen but I would be over the moon if Liverpool were to go down, a bunch of horrible bin-dipping, deluded, uneducated r'tards. Scousers piss me off beyond belief with their constant "it's a conspiracy by *insert organization/potential employer here*" Now I'm not gonna tar all Racistpool fans with the same brush like, but for Suarez to get done, then a fan to scream racist abuse at a player who is of no goalscoring threat to turn the game on its head when his team are comfortably winning, really does show a distinct lack of class. After this poor young Adeyemi lad understandably gets upset, a large section of the scumbags start chanting Luis Suarez' name for the rest of the game, openly condoning that kind of behaviour. I'm going to end this rant before I start getting carried away...

He's not fantastic but he gives 100% every game and he's made a few crucial goal-line blocks over this season as well. Fair enough I don't think he's the sort of player who's going to help us move forward and he's never going to set the world alight, but he does deserve a new contract based on his commitment and the fact that he's been ever-present for us since he first joined the club whilst putting in a hell of a lot more reliable games than 'shockers'. He's nee Perch for God's sake. On top of that he can provide decent squad cover if we do sign a better right full-back in the summer, it's not like Simpson's going to stretch our wage budget so hopefully we can get him signed on for another few years.
