Good player, Newcastle, particularly under Pardew were the wrong club for him. Hope he does well.
  2. A glimpse? Poor effort tbh, i expected a sample from his spine. Aye, I know given the photos that's not a particularly interesting insight. Was with who I think is the club interpreter and someone else.
  3. Been at Nuffield myself earlier, caught a glimpse of him in the reception.
  4. This image starting to do the rounds on Twitter. Fingers crossed.
  5. How do you know when a price is going to rise? I refer to this - http://www.fplstatistics.co.uk/ It tends to be pretty accurate, value in excess of 100 / -100 will likely change price.
  6. Aguero looks certain to rise tonight, for anyone that hasn't brought him in.
  7. Going to play my wildcard. Never played it this early, but I have had a pathetic two weeks and I think there will be plenty of players dropping in prices.

"We lost Steven Taylor who is the guy who would head the ball in the box for us." Scary.
  9. This is my biggest worry. No Aguero in a City team that are firing from the off.
  10. Terrible. But I still have faith in my picks.
  11. Confirmed. http://www.nufc.co.uk/articles/20150806/newcastle-sign-ivan-toney_2281670_4913953

Nah he will get asked about transfers, but it will no doubt be gentle probing that he can play with a straight bat. Anyway, he is on after the news.
  13. Cabaye is a doubt for next week mind. I've got Walcott in my team, but I am not sure how nailed on he is to start.
  14. Yes that's better. I would still look to cheapen your defence a bit still, because if nothing else a 343/352 is favourable for getting points. You get one free transfer a week, if you don't use it, it carries over to the next. But you can never have more than two free transfers. If the free transfers aren't enough, you can make more changes, but it costs you points. You also get two wildcards, one for each half of the season where you can make an unlimited number of transfers for free. Basically, lots of chopping and changing throughout. Also, its mainly defensive I wouldn't double on. Nothing wrong with having a Man United striker and defender. If a defence concedes only one goal, unless they make a contribution otherwise they will probably only get two points. It's not just thrashings.
  15. You have probably tried to evenly funds distribute across the 15 I assume? That isn't the way to go about it if you want to do well. The problem is, you have four players sat on the bench every week - and you don't want a lot of money sat on the bench as you currently have. You want it in the first eleven earning points. Generally benches at least at the start of the year are populated with players costing £4-5 million. People often chose low cost players that either rotate well so you have options, but generally you just want to avoid the cardinal sin of having players on your bench that don't play in case someone from your starting 11 picks up a sudden injury. Your defence in particular, is too expensive. Mine costs £25 million whilst yours costs £28 million. I know that doesn't sound a lot, but it is. This is what I would do if it were my team. I would be looking to get rid of Jagielka - you don't want two defenders from the same team really, because if they concede you aren't getting many points (replace him with someone cheaper). And I would also look to downgrade one of your more expensive players to a cheaper regular starter. That would save £2/2.5 million. In midfield, Ozil and Sterling are pretty standard picks. Schneiderlin isn't the type of player who picks up many points in FF, I would be looking elsewhere and trying to save £0.5 too... You get the impression. Generally you have just spread the funds too thinly and because of that you don't have any of the really big hitters.
  16. I think you have to get Aguero in there when he is back. I'm not starting with him though, but I have a plan to free the funds up.

    Charlie Austin

Well it flies in the face of some of the local reporting this morning. Not that I give too much credence to Lee Ryders musings.

'Apparently' - not seen it myself, SSN have got him on record saying we haven't spoken to QPR at all about Austin.
  19. Surprised he didn't try to take credit for our scouting.

I won't pretend to understand the nuances of the role, but I'm surprised none of you have heard of it. It's one of those terms that are becoming increasingly pervasive in tactical analysis. I think I probably first heard of it from Jonathon Wilson too.
  21. That's certainly the case. It's just whether you can get better value out of your one million elsewhere.
