You often hear what is, for the most part, rhetoric about this player and that player having "no end product". Well Towsnend genuinely doesn't have any end product. Pitiful chance creation / assists record. Really poor decision making in the final third. The guy is 25 this year too, but he has shown little sign of pushing his career on in the last couple of years.

He has a well deserved reputation for being lazy. Pretty poor trait for anyone playing in his position.

Part of me is surprised (even with his massive ego) that he would want the England job and all the intense media scrutiny that comes with it. There are skeletons in his closet from his time up here that would be incredibly embarrassing if journalists were to poke around.

What are peoples thoughts on our attacking shape the last three matches? In the media it's universally - and I suspect, rather lazily reported as 4-4-2. Yet (and I appreciate these things are fluid and in the eye of the beholder) it appears to be more of a dynamic 4-2-2-2 set up to allow Wijnaldum and Sissoko to play more centrally.
