He might be miffed by what happened in the summer. But it's almost certainly not his motives for the move.
-
Not the issue imo. All money driven.

Dont really think that many are giving 'he owes us' argument. Fan's just want this sorting out sooner rather than later as it's not helping the squad at all and the situation with our league position is delicate. Ba's been a brilliant player, but if him leaving allows some pressure off the players, especially Cisse, then so be it.

Positive news if true, if only that walking afro's suspension dragged on a game further.
-
I hope Everton get hammered, not anyone playing for us though. Obviously it's not ideal whats going on, but we're not in the position to give our own players grief, points are at an absolute premium.

No worries, i think we win as well but yeah it won't be easy at all. I'll feel a lot more confident about the 2nd half of season if we win too; Debuchy coming in, key players coming back, style of play improving and hopefully more signings to follow. Moyes was talking today about maybe us doing an Everton and having an strong 2nd half of season and tbh i think we are capable of that but first and foremost we have to win tonight. I hope for the same but they have to start defending better and now. Also we need key players to start performing. Krul, Tiote and even the captain need to start taking some responsibility, all woefully short of form.

We have only lost once in our last 10 at home to these..... worried now ? Means absolutely nothing. Exactly the point i was making..... Icarus was not worried so surely a record such as that would cause more worry than optimism as it means nothing and more likely to mean we lose than anything Ahh, apologies. I did wonder if that was the point you were making, but some project records as if they are concrete. I'm actually fairly confident about tonight but these are a seriously good side, gonna be tough.

100% this.

At this stage - thats probably what i'm trying to get at. Looking at the teams below us now and thinking they won't be above us come the end due to the quality of them is somewhat naive.
-
We won't go down, there's too many s*** teams but as it stands i you can't see anything better than just mid table obscurity tbh. Very dodgy way to look at it imo. Shitter teams does not mean less points.

He's here to win trophies.

Pedersen and Roberts are good shouts, Yakubu was always pretty good vs us aswell.

It's good news of course if it happens. I'm scrolling down twitter and some people are saying 'well why are none of the top clubs in for him?'. Its incredible how people cant just accept we badly need competition for places at the moment, and these are strangely the same people who defended our business in the summer.

Who replaces him champ? Martinez, Laudrup, Jol, Hughton, a foreign coach who plays good football. Maybe even try for Moyes if you promise him some money to spend (daft suggestion i know). All of them appointments will cost money and suggest ambition. Not the way we do things.

Humiliating and for the first real time i'm worried we are going down. We are scared of the opposition.
-
Nothing to do with your general mindset, but to have them two games as 'write off' is a tad extreme surely?
-
Aye, because walking away in disgust would do him so much good. Aye, cast iron proof Demba is 100% focused by celebrating a late and probably most important goal of the season.

Astonishing negativity.

Someone on a west ham forum hates him. Must be a cunt then.

I think they are totally different myself. Ba is more akin to your Shearer with Cisse being more akin to your Owen. Ba has the better all-round game, Cisse is more of the finisher and player to play on the last man. I still think they can play alongside each other as a twosome even in a 4-4-2 to good effect but we would need to play with wingers and have to change the way we play considerably which is what we would have to do regardless if we are to see the best of both together. Agreed on the first, but still searching for a hint they can play together. Cisse is an out and out goal scorer of the purest definition. Whereas I think Ba has a better all round game and is more accomplished at deviating from his main position in search for the ball, Cisse has done this to little effect and I view it as a sign of desperation, given the absolute absence of service he's had, he's just a class striker with a good amount of pace aswell (although I thought he worked his socks off wednesday) They have absolutely no fluency when playing together though, often going for the same delivery and getting in each other's road. They both yearn to play the main goalscorer role in the side and it looks imbalanced as a result. Not really complicated or anything, they just don't compliment each other as a pairing. I get the impression Cisse really wants to do well at this club, he seems to love the supporters. Not saying that's not the case with Ba mind, I just sense it more with Papiss.

I can understand the derision around Pardew at the min but I personally refuse to vent all my anger at him knowing this sphere's shortcomings. The last campaign had zero effect on him and his affections towards our club. Pardew done brilliantly last season, but he's a limited coach, and if you give a limited coach limited resources it will eventually show on the pitch. Spending +3mil net after finishing 5th is an absolute joke. He gambled again and its turning into a farce of season because of it. Pard's does not help himself saying we need to be forever thankful, but its obvious he's just trying to keep the b*stard on his side. For the record I think he, like the rest of us thought we'd get some players in, only to be forced to change his stance in interviews when it was becoming increasingly obvious no-one was coming in.
