He's getting chances... he's gonna stick one away sooner rather than later. I'd rather he be missing chances than not getting any at all, big cliche but its true. I was irate when he got the penalty mind.
-
What a player. If he can work on his final ball and decision making past the half way line then my goodness. A total athlete with pace to burn. You can see why Inter regarded him highly at the start of his career. A right foot curler is on the cards.... we hope.

Was always gonna be that sort of game I thought and i'm just glad for the 3 points. The penalty miss killed us and was an awful display of individual wishes over team mindset. Cisse should never have been at the spot kick. With that in mind, I knew the 2nd half would be difficult. We're not ticking at the moment but had Cisse scored Im sure we would have put a few more in. Playing s***, small squad, picking up points...... glass half full at the moment. For now anyway.

Newcastle United vs Norwich City - Sunday 23/09/12 @ 3pm

It's hugely important to get a win just to release some of the pressure going into a pretty awkward looking set of fixtures. 2 games with Man Utd, mackems and reading away, also a host of euro games to deal with. Obviously its far to early to label it a 'must win' , but it's a very big game for us. -

Aston Villa a few weeks ago was crying out for Tiote to be involved, he is a constant menace to the opponent. I understand your point but if you let any midfield get comfortable and have time on the ball then it will be difficult, and this happened in our last home game. Last thing we can let happen on Sunday is to let Norwich get in a rhythm and keep possession. He can help us snap out of these lethargic starts if he plays this weekend. -
I'm not getting at you mate, but in fairness the amount of long balls he played you'd bloody hope he made use of one of them. Which he did thank f**k
-
As a defender I don't think he has many glaring error's in his game, he's just very nervous in possession and gets done for pace frequently. What he can do and do effectively as mentioned is read passes and anticipate danger. He's also useful on opposing set plays aswell purely because of his height.
-
Didnt think he was too bad tonight, clearly someone who needs confidence to have a good game. Great ball onto Shola aswell for the second.

You play to the whistle tbf. Would have loved to see us play on there, there were at least two of ours clean through. Oh aye, i know. Would've been absolutely quality; i was irate when he blew the whistle. It was a decision based on morality, rather than the rulebook. Tbh i was just as annoyed with the second one; where Fellaini hacked Williamson late. There was a clear advantage there, too. We had 3 clean through on goal. Im certain the ref blew just to calm it down as he was completley confused with the disallowed goal . If we had raced on and scored it would have been one of the most controversial goals in recent memory.

Unbelievable game. 1st half was exactly what I was fearing but we were all over them at times in the 2nd. Wish Hatem had stuck his chance away, would have crippled them that. Coming back from behind when not playing at your best is hugely encouraging, and we've done it 3 times now.
-
If we defend well we can murder these on the break with that line up. Jonas and Anita need to be on top form tonight.
-
thhiiiss!! so f***ing thins, all or nothing , send the draw point to fat sam This. Obviously not asking for Keegan all out attack but really want to see us have a go tonight. Hope we don't employ an over reliance on Ben Arfa to do something magical again.

They're just fired up man, makes it quite tough for opposing players. Everytime I'v been to Goodison its been a decent racket, and not in the horrible Stoke way either. I've only been once for the game where Hatem scored and the atmosphere was terrible that day, don't think they made a peep all game. I watched that on TV and it was not great admittedly, perhaps lost their singing voices as a result of how bad they were. Hopefully the same will occur later. imo they have a better atmosphere than most though.

I'm just hoping for a performance more than anything. Hope we don't come out in this clumsy lethargical manner in the first 10 or 20 minutes, the calling card for one of our s*** displays. Be great to see us start full of running and attacking intent, much like WBA last season. Obviously formations may hinder that and its a bit of a cliche, but a good start is key imo.

Decent post that. It can be a bit annoying (very to some) that we have this stubborn approach in the transfer market, and that this model of ours (even though I think it's been ever so slightly mythologized) will bear mixed results. Like you mention we know what Ashley is about now, so it obviously came as no great suprise to any of us that he's gambling with the current squad and at the same time saving himself some money. I recall this time last year their was a real sense of indifference around what the side could produce. Was hard to envisage Ba going on that scoring run he did and Cabaye settling in as quickly. This season we know they are good players and that we're a very good side on our day. Just gotta hope that they can cope till January and when hopefully seek to add one or two more players.
-
3-1 them... same result as a few months back but hopefully not the same lazy half arsed performance. Just think if Colo is missing then some serious organisation and calmness goes with him. Looking forward to it though, international's have had me bored beyond definition.
-
No doubt the a few players are a tad frustrated, just like the fans. But come on, dressing room unrest after one season of overachievment? Childish suggestion.
-
Osman is a great shout and never gets the call.... even Nolan should be considered ahead of some the current squad imo.
-
Obviously none of us know the exact extent of our injuries but it's sod's law they are starting to drop like flies now the transfer window is closed in a season we really had to strengthen
-
In a perverse way, the club is getting precisely what it deserves Absolutely spot on, both of you. Not to worry chaps the balance sheet looks good.
-
I thought that but after taking his actual character into account it's very believable.

Clean and Fresh what on earth does that mean? Is he some sort of 90's rapper? Also, charismatic! The man is a perfect cure for insomnia. Charismatic was the one that jumped off the page
