  1. Exactly, sure iv read Man Utd are getting 5%. Fergie's a twat, im delighted.
  2. Point is, as soon as he went abroad it was to be expected really. He is (or was) Liege's player now, up to them whatever they do.
  3. I can't remember this type of incident happening frequently but I may be wrong? Man Utd, for some reason, seemed to let a rake of talented young players slip from their grasp recently (which for me is Ferguson's real gripe). Being Man Utd's players of course loads of clubs will look at them, but the situation there seemed to be unique.
  4. If Levy has snubbed the compen to Man Utd and decided to get a deal done with his next club, when it will cost considerably less then fair play. Obviously with it being straightaway in the next window it looks iffy, maybe they really wanted the player?
  5. Sure Fergie would attempt the same if the situation arose with someone he wanted. It's more clever than sly imo.
  6. Don't see what the problem is. Liege get a fee for a player that belongs to them. Ferguson should have lowered his asking price if him and his oracles had seen this coming.

    Loïc Remy

We've always had a decent pull on players as long as iv known. Obviously money plays a part, but we're a very well known, decent sized club with a class ground. Never really been a problem getting them here, unless their absolute untouchables.

    Crossan piping up on Twitter.
  9. Absolutely wonderful signing. Even more wonderful if he hits the ground running with us.

Didn't you know? We're one of the poorest clubs in the division. And away from the pitch? I aint seen this latest rubbish today though, seems every interview is ended with a not very hard to work out cryptic message warning us we may sign no-one.

Where is this 'money's tight' quote from today?
  12. imo him coming in is vital just to give the place some sort of lift. He's not gonna fix all of our current problems by himself, but hopefully he can show his experience and help some of our other players. Happening far to late this transfer.
  13. He was playing well but seems to be lost now in the pressure of it all.
  14. He's joining the Newcastle United the rest of the country loves - the crisis version.

People used to say we were too good to go down when we did get relegated. The bottom line is if the manager is an idiot and the team are showing no fight it doesn't matter how good the team looks on paper. This. The cardinal sin in apparently teams to good to go down is the players and staff being in utter denial about it, never mind the fans. Our next run of domestic games is a complete nightmare in honesty. They simply have to get points out them all.
  16. Seriously what must he be thinking having witnessed that?
  17. He might be miffed by what happened in the summer. But it's almost certainly not his motives for the move.
  18. Not the issue imo. All money driven.
  19. Dont really think that many are giving 'he owes us' argument. Fan's just want this sorting out sooner rather than later as it's not helping the squad at all and the situation with our league position is delicate. Ba's been a brilliant player, but if him leaving allows some pressure off the players, especially Cisse, then so be it.
  20. Positive news if true, if only that walking afro's suspension dragged on a game further.
  21. I hope Everton get hammered, not anyone playing for us though. Obviously it's not ideal whats going on, but we're not in the position to give our own players grief, points are at an absolute premium.
  22. No worries, i think we win as well but yeah it won't be easy at all. I'll feel a lot more confident about the 2nd half of season if we win too; Debuchy coming in, key players coming back, style of play improving and hopefully more signings to follow. Moyes was talking today about maybe us doing an Everton and having an strong 2nd half of season and tbh i think we are capable of that but first and foremost we have to win tonight. I hope for the same but they have to start defending better and now. Also we need key players to start performing. Krul, Tiote and even the captain need to start taking some responsibility, all woefully short of form.
  23. We have only lost once in our last 10 at home to these..... worried now ? Means absolutely nothing. Exactly the point i was making..... Icarus was not worried so surely a record such as that would cause more worry than optimism as it means nothing and more likely to mean we lose than anything Ahh, apologies. I did wonder if that was the point you were making, but some project records as if they are concrete. I'm actually fairly confident about tonight but these are a seriously good side, gonna be tough.
