  1. Agree with this. I don't mind Rodgers as a bloke but he strikes me very much as someone who has been seduced by his own hype, and its hype I dont think is justified. He did well keeping Swansea in the division but the press went completley over the top when it came to praising the brand of football he adopts. He did an interview with the MOTD lot and it was painful to watch. If he hits the ground running at Liverpool we'll be scrambling for the sick buckets. If we weren't already mind, anything to do with Liverpool has my stomach doing somersaults.
  2. Just starting to look such a good player, be incredibly suprised if we sold him now. That article is so poor. Mind you if it was the mackems they'd be happy to sell him.
  3. Because we're all paranoid.
  4. Linked with Joe Allen already.
  5. Just got him on the back of me shirt.... he better not leave!
  6. Not bothered about the national side at all... and not guilty about feeling like that. Would rather Newcastle win a corner than England win a match..
  7. I think Hulk looks a good player but he seems to have the 'it revolves around me not the team' attitude. Every time I have watched him for Porto he pings shots from a ridiculous distance rather than take more sensible and better options. Ability ain't in question for me, just looks a bit of a sulky b*stard. On the surface looks like Chelsea working hard to replace the old guard. Mata, Hazard, Hulk and Marin. Potentially very potent. De Bruyne & Lukaku aswell. They will be looking to have Essien replaced next and someone like M'Vila or De Rossi will hopefully be on the shopping list... not our kid.

Well I must say the humiliation of all this is quite unbearable. A few misspelt words and this forum really hits you hard. Oh and you've spelled Susie wrong. Terrible for an expert.

Well I could have gone and changed it, but like I said the motivation wasn't strong enough. Kapeesh?

I was aware i mispelled that... couldn't be arsed to change it, same applies with the 'their' issue. Will probs do it, for the meltdown it should cause.

Is it forgivable to sign up to RTG just to post a thread on there supposed class and the clear evidence that proves they have non, just to see what reaction it would provoke? (disguised as a mackem)

To nick a quote I read of .com a while back - 'If you didnt despise these lot so much you would almost feel sorry for them'
  13. Martinez or no Martinez.... its always hilarious when these lot f**k things up.
  14. One hopes that if he does go, then the board have someone lined up, and that a sale is not a knee jerk reaction to stalled contract talks. No one wants to lose there best players, but hopefully Newcastle can be trusted on this one. Sewelly i agree with moses defo, gotta say though I think Hoilett would slot in well, can only base that on the games iv seen him on like.
  15. Dont think Hoillets work rate is that bad and he would soon realise that its required to fit in the team. In a side full of total tosh, he was often alone in trying desperatly to make something happen, or at least he was in the games i saw. In the 3-1 when Ba scored 3 he was by far the most dangerous player in blackburn colours. Love his goals aswell.... no side footed sh*t, concentrates on hitting the target and hitting it hard.
  16. I know his name is banded about everywhere but Hoillet would fit perfectly in our system should Ba go.... him and Ben Arfa on either flank would be lethal. Goals, pace... the lot. Not sure if Wenger is closing in on him though.
  17. PSG or Spurs.... hope its the former. If we can get a good replacement thats the main thing.
  18. I thought he was pretty good at Atletico. Newly promoted at the time (I think?), captain , young man with a decent goal return. Its only really been since he moved to London that his club career has gone downhill...... imo
  19. Rafa Benitez leaving played a part in him leaving aswell I reckon, seemed to be a strong connection between player and manager. I still think he'd have benefited from just holding on till the summer, but he had his reasons obviously. To conclude then, I still think Torres is a good player, not finished, probably at the wrong club, and I almost certainly would not swap Cisse for him.
  20. I reckon Torres moved from Liverpool to soon. They seemed to look after him there and he looked lost when he first went to Chelsea, combine that with the huge price tag and the eyes of the footballing world on him, it was a pressure he has never really go to grips with. I still think he's a wonderful footballer, but his problems are in his head, not his feet. Agree that if he moved abroad he would score hatfuls again.
  21. Quote of RTG . 'I've seen him play a couple of times, he's not bad but I very much doubt he has what it takes for the Premier league. Will be another flop like that Santon' Where do you start with that?

Where are all the pictures coming from?!
  23. It would be tricky to fit both in a working system i agree, but would defo still have him. You can never have to many good players imo, plenty of games next campaign so we need options. If Cisse & Giroud did strike a partnership however its a mouthwatering prospect. Nice to get linked with these players at least.... mackems swooping for Davies if you read the press !
  24. I mean in terms of goals.... if Ba goes thats potentially 15 + goals gone. Cant keep relying on Cisse, even more so if injury occurs. Agree that the fluency of the 3 pronged attack might be absent, something they would have to find a solution to.
  25. Class.... need someone that outspoken in the prem ..
