  1. Here is some of this surge: https://twitter.com/AlharthiFawaz/status/1255679782353846278 All posting the exact same phrases at the same time. Strange indeed.
  2. Agree, I'm not putting Poch down in my post, just think Rafa's the best option.
  3. I don't quite get the hype around Poch either. Not when we can have Rafa. Aside from their abilities as managers, Poch would only be here for the money/glamour. Rafa wanted to be here when we were shit. He also already has a plan for the whole club. It's an absolute no-brainer.
  4. Still can't believe this arsehole got 3 more top-flight jobs after he was our manager. Still can't believe this arsehole got any job after us tbh. If we ever need to warn another set of fans of someones incompetence in the future we can tell them how right we were about this fraud.

That's interesting. I always thought the club paid rent to the city council? And leased the land directly from them? It’s Freeman land not Council land. The club pay us rent. Whether it goes to Council for them to pass straight to us I couldn’t argue either way as not 100% but I’m pretty sure it comes direct. Along with the Hopping’s it’s one of the two main incomes for the Freeman which is spent maintaining our land, properties and various charitable stuff. Thanks.

  7. "Justice for Jamal" have sent one on her behalf. This bit stood out "It is undoubtedly the right, proper and lawful action for you and the Premier League to take, especially in light of the ruthless killing of Ms Cengiz’s fiancé." On what grounds is it lawful for them to reject it? The Saudis are allowed to do business in the UK unfortunately for Justice for Jamal. It's just a load of propaganda, it doesn't seem to be based in fact. Propaganda is a bit fucking strong, it's a grieving widow fighting for justice. Point taken and I agree it was a bit strong. But if they are going to write to the PL, the letter should be based in fact and law, and it's not. So I don't really know what word would best describe it.

  9. He's in every thread at the minute it seems. He really shouldn't be that fucking hard to ignore like.
  10. Fuck that. Get paralytic and miss work...your boss would have to be Mike Ashley to sack you for over-celebrating this
  11. He's said to be a close friend of Mohammed Bin Salman / the Saudi Royal Family
  12. Just learned that Luka Modric and Mark Viduka are cousins It's probably common knowledge, but I wasn't aware. I googled "can cousins both own PL football clubs" and that came up
  13. I think everyones well aware of your opinion without you having to repeat it every 2 minutes. The ability to post after deleting your account is quite impressive also As I mentioned, that was in response to specific posts and I can post whatever I want. Of course you can, but you're only having the effect of making others dig trenches basically. There has to be a way we can have a more amicable debate here ffs. Sorry, but posters were saying they wanted the Saudis over another potential U.S option and that unless it was someone with Jeff Bezos' wealth they weren't interested. They chose which trench to dig and I thought an edit of SBR's quote, the original of which we're all happy to repeat as representative of being a football supporter, was an effective way to highlight that. Do you not think it's a bit of a low blow (and even disrespectful) to use (and edit) a quote of Sir Bobby's out of the original context? He isn't here to take a side like you are. No, not really, I think it's very pertinent. I think it's absolutely f***ing disgusting that you have bastardised a quote from an absolute legend for the sole purpose of scoring points online. Yes, editing quotes on a football forum to make a point about where some of our supporters priorities lie is where we need to draw the ethical line in this whole debate. It's the snowflakes who are disgusted by the Saudi's human rights record who are the sanctimonious ones, not those morally outraged at the sight of a quote being thrown back in their face. Are you playing the victim for the sake of it? I'm abhorred by the Saudis human rights record and have been for a long time, unfortunately our Government are mates with the fuckers and us as fans don't have any power over any of this. Go find those people who support their actions and argue with them instead of banging on and on here. I'm out anyway. And yes, bastardising a quote from Sir Bobby for the purpose you did is still disrespectful in my eyes.
  14. Sir Bobby sadly isn't alive to choose a side here. Have some respect and leave him out of it. Don't bastardise a quote to try to score points in some stupid fucking argument online, it's crass and sick. He was talking about The Beatles dude

  17. The worlds full of complete morons, it's not unique to football or NUFC (although we probably have more than our fair share). Maybe instead of moaning about them, try to educate the ones that might listen. But what do you want? A fanbase that tries to force the Saudis out (if this happens), or merely an educated fanbase that will not be used as a weapon? If it's the second, then try to engage the ones that are willing to learn? A huge proportion of our fans don't really know anything about the Saudis, MBS etc. The entire point of my post was the bit in bold, although I wouldn't say they're morons, they're just looking after their material interests, as everyone does. Not moaning either, just mentioning something I learned that I think is useful to consider if you're the sort who (like me) couldn't work out why people overlook or side with terrible people/organisations. As for the rest, I was part of SackPardew, AshleyOut, The Magpie Group, and I volunteer for numerous political campaigns here and abroad, so I do try. Fans weren't willing to walk away from an unsuccessful, spirit crushing Mike Ashley with terrible business practices, so I'm not holding my breath that a potentially cash-splashing, successful MBS would bring better returns. I'd rather put my work to better use, but that doesn't mean I can't share my opinion on a football forum just because it's not praxis. It'll be the ones that defended and stayed loyal to Ashley that will be the biggest/loudest cheerleaders for a new regime no doubt. Morons almost to a man. The plus side is, they will be unable to actually formulate and present a coherent argument.

The ability to post after deleting your account is quite impressive also N-O will be beheading the naysayers in no time Nah he's just very repetitive. We're not all supporting the Saudi state and their policies here, but some seem to want to have a go at anyone who isn't fully against this purported takeover. Honest question, would you prefer Ashley to stay?

  23. This. Purely for the benefit of the football club and city in general, Staveley and the Reubens are by far the best bet.
  24. Same. If given the choice I'd personally much prefer someone else with a lot less money but I think a lot of people have already started dreaming about being the richest club on earth and can't turn around. Yeah I think so too, but honestly I don’t care about being the richest club on the planet. We’ve seen on this board many times people complaining about City and the atmosphere, that would eventually happen to us too. I would take how Wolves are doing it over City any day. I just want rid of Ashley. Anyway, haven't we been told to ignore all this American bullshit already?
  25. That Penn going on about Redbridge Capital or whatever it was the other day...imagine it turns out to be them?
