My feelings exactly. Didn't trust them and feel vindicated. Why can't any fans group have some fucking principles?
-
Gaping net and best explanation is he's squaring it for...I don't even know. You'd do better in FIFA if you dropped the fucking controller.
-
Things might be different, but he would be the worst player in that attack without doubt. He's just not that good. He's useless in this setup, in a better setup he'd be a bit better, but what qualities does he have that are exceptional? I'd say none at all. Ben Afa's class shone through under Pardew, Gini managed 10 goals under McClaren in a poor team. Joelinton though? Nah.
-
Agree. I still maintain thousands of fans bombarding all the Telegraphs channels/contact details with complaints would get quite annoying quite quickly for them.
-
Loads of times he's not busting a gut to get onto balls. That should be the minimum requirement. I don't think anyone who watched yesterdays game could honestly say Joelinton was giving it 100%.
-
Bruce can coach him to put in more effort, that is why you hire a top manager, to get the best out of your expensive investment in players. Putting a bit of effort in should not need a manager to tell you that ffs. I suppose Bruce should tell him how to score the simple chances he keeps missing too? Both Bruce and Joelinton are shite.

I did say this a while ago but yeah, they're awful for a top 5.

Agree with this. Whilst the circumstances aren't the best, he hasn't shown a semblance of real actual ability in 6 months. I'm convinced we've paid £15 million max for him, there's just no reasoning behind him being worth any more than that. We also don't pay more than that. Even at that price, he's been a massive disappointment so far. Hoffenheim have said it’s the most they’ve received for a player so the minimum we’ve paid is around £30m. I think the fees being bandied about are true. Which would make the whole deal even stranger.

Found myself watching Rondon's highlights from last year to remind myself what a real number 9 looks like. His hold up play was exceptional. Joelinton is a shadow of the player in every single department. I don't even think he could outpace Rondon ffs.
-
How he's not lost his job is beyond me considering he trolls and baits his audience constantly. Maybe thousands of fans should make it happen eh.

He's got a heart the size of a pea and that was obvious in his first few games even.
-
Whilst that may be true, he should have scored a hat full today. His performance was nothing short of embarrassing.

I wasn’t far off then. https://www.newcastle-online.org/forum/index.php?topic=103996.msg7122162#msg7122162

You didn't enjoy that? Stop being so miserable, it was fucking hilarious.

So lucky not to be losing to fucking Rochdale man.
-
Fans having a go at Joelinton.
-
Joelinton wants taken off by the looks of him doing a Shelvey there.
-
We're lucky not to be losing ffs
-
No, he needs a goal today because a random poster on here would probably score if in his position. It would be inexcusable for him not to score against Rochdale with the chances he's been getting.
-
Nickson also put Muto and Murphy to him which he ended up agreeing to I think it was more the price with Joelinton that he thought hell no. Even less compromise with Nickson would have served him better in terms of avoiding pricey duds. Well he might have liked him for £5 million for all that quote gives us (and still would rather spend the money on his own pick, as stated). Never heard about this Muto and Murphy recommendation though. I'm surprised Rafa even agreed to it.

That was good play by him ffs His shot trickled towards goal ffs.
