Hopefully, as per the papers, we'll know by the end of next week.
-
Pete Graves seems pretty sure.
-
Does Graham Carr know him much, could he be behind any possible approach?
-
Keith Downie @SkySports_Keith 19m19 minutes ago Vieira has spent this week on a UEFA coaching course in Wales; we expect talks with Newcastle to take place in the next few days.
-
It doesn't make much sense tbh, I'll believe it when I see it.
-
Knows the Prem inside out, would be good for our French players no doubt, but I'm not convinced he would be ready to walk straight into our job with no previous experience managing at first team level tbh.
-
Why would we take a punt on him but not Gourvannec, Garde or Galtier?
-
Well that came out of no where.
-
The 'football board' will probably be looking at signing players already, if we get someone in before the end of next week we can then pursue those targets if the incoming coach is agreeable. The above is obviously way to see sensible for NUFC though, realistically.
-
I'm a tad disappointed we aren't interested in the likes of Gourvennec, and have seemingly cooled on Garde. Which means we're most likely looking for a British based manager, which is fine, but I wouldn't be looking at the likes of McLaren.

http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/newcastle-united-new-head-coach-9354630 Newcastle United may have new head coach by early June - and unlikely to be John Carver
-
I've only just seen he's blamed a British and U.S. conspiracy.
-
Japan & Korea was a great World Cup. South Africa was fine although there were some problems. Just hold it somewhere that's realistic, it's not hard really.

Didn't Qatar actually win on the premise that the WC would be held in the summer, but this wasn't going to be an issue as all the stadia would have air conditioning. Following the vote, it was then revealed that the climate controlled stadia was in fact a load of s**** and they were moving it to winter. They won on a lie, most probably on the back of a bribe, and Qatar should not be holding it.

If the timing of it was designed to stop Blatter being re-elected, and the evidence is incriminating to him then why not arrest him. The ludicrous thing is he's still expected to voted in for another term. The guys made of teflon.
-
They'll move it from Qatar to Islamic State.
-
Is Prince Al Bin Al-Hussein really the sort of person we need to take over from Sepp Blatter, seems like it's more of the same to me. Fifa need the fumigators in, smoke the whole nest of vipers out and start again.
-
Nowt, and is still expected to be elected President again.
-
Aww, I was looking forward to the Qatar WC, what with the 40 degree heat, no beer, women being forced to cover up and the stoning of gays. Would've been a right laugh. Said no one, ever.
-
Yeah, a world cup in Australia would be absolutely fantastic. Should've happened, they were royally shafted.
-
US Department of Justice: "The indictment alleges corruption that is rampant, systemic & deep-rooted". I hope they nail their balls to the floor on this one, I really do.
-
They'll worm their way out of it probably and I bet Blatter is still elected. They're never held accountable for anything, it'll be individuals who are prosecuted not the organisation, which is wrong as the whole of FIFA is intrinsically corrupt, people have known it for years.
-
Mark Douglas doesn't seem to think he's a contender, for what it's worth.
-
Some people seem convinced he's got it, but I've got no idea what they're basing it on. Some ITK, or some such.

What sort of player is Carver going to attract to the club? Nobody. Would be a disastrous decision, and after Ashley's comments re wanting to win a trophy a total piss take, yet again.
