He is going to thrive on Bruno's through balls.

Jan will be even harder to sign players. I think we've squandered a massive chance to move forward quickly. We'll have to wait till next summer now to see a real impact. It's blatant the PL are doing their best to clip our wings on and off the pitch, the only way we can fight back is by being so much better than we are now, leaving no doubt of the win. Any fine margin games we're not winning, they'll see to it.
I don't think it was the lack of trying in the Summer - though I also don't think the club expected to be shunned as much in the loan market. Yes it will be harder to bring in the right players in Jan but I think we've proved that it can be done.

Lee Mason needs to be removed from VAR for a start - he is an experience referee so has no excuses.

Yesterday highlighted why the window wasn't the success many thought it was.
It highlighted a lack of depth for sure - Murphy just isn't PL standard. Though Jan isn't far so I am sure it's something we'll address. That said it wasn't the reason we didn't pick up points at Liverpool or against Palace.

6 games, 7 points.
Not very impressive
You've watched the games right?

Be interesting to know how many points the big six have benefited from as a result of poor referring decisions.

Ekitike’s racked up 35 mins of football so far this season. At his age you need to be playing games as much as possible, merde
What did he expect? It's not like he's shifting Mbappe, Neymar or Messi anytime soon.

Sky are getting stuck into VAR after a day of pretty shocking decisions.
If you give a moron a computer, they're still a moron. The standard of officiating is the problem, not the technology.
It needs scrapping - Those in stockley park can turn a decision which ever way they want without accountability. In a billion pound game that is far too much power for someone to have.

Did he really say that?

The biggest thing that was obvious today is our lack of strength and depth on the bench.

Honestly thought VAR would help because decisions would be plain to see for everyone. How wrong I was.
I thought it was for clear and obvious errors - there was nothing clear and obvious about the off-side for Iasks second goal. It was impossible to tell so goal should have been given - advantage to the attacker. And the goal today, what is the obvious error? It is high time the Referees are more accountable for their decisions and explain them to the media.

It’s every game now we’re talking about a wrong VAR call. It’s absolutely shite, wish they would just get rid. Would rather the ref made the mistake than use it.
The press need to pick up on this as it's ruining the game.

I was going to bring in Tony but chose Mitro instead ?
-
I've not heard one commentator that could explain why our goal didn't stand today. I think an independent investigation is in order - football is a billion pound business and referees have way too much power now to influence results. Referees should have to explain to the camera after the match why they disallowed a goal - if they did I guarantee this would have been given today.

Looking forward to the Merseyside Derby. An absolutely appalling referee decision in the first 5 mins to overheat things please.
A draw would be a nice result- bar that Everton win. Wipe that smile off Klopps face.

He comes across as very mature for his age

Is he fit for Saturday?

They're also missing the point that there is no consistency to adding time. Refs seem to pick and choose if/when they do it. If Newcastle had got the winner the narrative would be the total opposite.
-
Klopp - not only is he a bad looser, but he is also a bad winner.

I've given it an 8 - though was tempted to give it a 10 on Isak alone.

We've some player

The issue is 'how' they use it as well as 'who' is operating in.
For a start it is meant to be used when there has been a 'clear and obvious error' but they seem to check everything forensically. If it's not obvious straight away it is NOT a clear and obvious error. It then goes down to 'opinion' and that's not it's purposes. In those circumtances the on field decision should stand.
Secondly those running VAR should NOT be ex-referee's - it is impossible to take bias out of their equation. They all work together so it will affect decision making. They need to be people specifically trained in the role, much like Referees are trained in theirs but keeping the two seperate. Those running VAR have to be totally impartial.
