I’m probably the biggest Willock fan on here. He’s absolutely no where near Maddison’s quality though, come on
Different type of player. I think Willock could hit double figures for goals this season.

It's clear it's Leicester leaking this. There is a deal to be done, it's whether we want it at their price.
I think they need to sell 'a player' and atm it's between Maddison and Fofana - I think they'd prefer to sell Maddison over the two but it'll boil down to who is willing to pay what they feel the player is worth. Chelsea have cash to burn atm so can't see it being an issue paying their price for Fofana.

Looks like Fofana is pushing more and more for his move to Chelsea, which may mean this is a non starter for us without going all the way to £60m.
100% - I understand the club trying to get the best deal but sometimes you've got to just pay the price.

He's worth £50mil in todays market for a British player - I don't think anyone would say we've over paid if we got him for that. An extra 10 mil isn't going to break FFP rules.

Sounds like he's laying the foundations for him to leave. Certainly doesn't seem to want to let Fofana go.

For me you'd go for Pacqueta over Maddison every time. One starts for his country, the other doesn't. One is highly professional, the other is a bit of a lad. One has friends already at the club and would settle quickly, the other doesn't. Pacqueta is more versatile, more willing to come and would probably be cheaper and easier to negotiate too.
I like Maddison but for me he lacks consistency - hits purple patches. That said he has premier league experience and look what Howe did with Big Joe. Pacqueta would be AMAZING but does he even want to come here? I certainly wouldn't be disappointed with the signing of Maddison - the opposite in fact.

He has struggled with injuries and illness in recent seasons also. Aswell as no other tactics than go out and play under Bruce.
It looks for the first time our squad are going into a season with the correct physical fitness needed since the Rafa days.
I think we will see far more performances like the Everton game where everyone was praising him this year. However he's human like everyone else and also still learning and will still have games where people are pulling their hair out.
He's never looked fully fit imo. Maybe that's just me though.

Memphis hasn’t really put a foot wrong at Barca. He showed at Lyon he could be a driving force at the right club.
Has played with Bruno before too.
It's a no brainer imo if we could get him. No denying his talent.

I think Pepe could be a good option for us, tbh.
Based on?

We must have a new striker lined up, otherwise it just leaves us Wilson and Wood as recognised 1st team strikers.

Or he could have just contacted the clubs directly?
Maybe he's run out of minutes

Imagine quoting Barca as an example of how to run a football club
Quoting Barca to make a point as to how useless the FFP rules are.

His agency have deleted the photo of them in Newcastle, surely wouldn't do that unless either club has noticed and made a complaint.
He'll have done it to alert Liverpool/Spurs - get a bit of a bidding war going.

Just get it done - worry about FFP later. I don't see Barca caring much about it.

ASM needs to show some consistent end product

It's worth being patient for paqueta

Toney is overrated in my opinion. He’s decent, but he’s not at the level we want to be out and never will be.
I kind of agree - it is not as if he stood out in the Brentford sign. I think he's an excellent Championship striker but he's still to prove himself in the Premier League.

Toney will get 15 goals a season and will not need time to settle into
English football. He’ll only improve too. No brainer for me.
Has he pace?
