The only leagues I follow with regularity are the PL and MLS (as well as shameless following of American players abroad). Other than that, unless it's some random player I've seen a few times here and there, my knowledge is purely second-hand, and I'll try not to claim otherwise.

You watch Rennes much like? 17 senior appearances for them according to Wiki, 17 for the French youth team and next to nowt on YouTube. I'm happy to admit I know sod all about him. I must be a s*** football fan. Based on what I've read on him in the last 10 minutes, he seems like a neat little player. Never claimed I love how I'm apparently the only person on this forum who isn't allowed to make judgements on players, despite several posters possessing seemingly endless knowledge on even the most obscure players. Which is never questioned, of course. Well, you ARE American.. My greatest sin, apparently.

Internet tells me he starts for France's U-20 team. Had 3 assists at the U-20 WC.

I'd prefer JK and Co. not invest the majority of their time trying to pull-in a back-up RB, no doubt. But again, he looks like a neat little player who'd give us additional depth, and could probably be had for relatively cheap. Unfortunately, they don't seem capable of juggling multiple cases, and we still need another winger/forward more than anything.
-
Debuchy is the only true RB of those though. It wouldn't be the worst thing to get a young RB to complement Haidara on the left.
-
I'm skeptical. But we'll see I suppose.
-
That's a nice all-around squad.
-
I'd rather have the Vain Queer.

Because he was a quality manager, who never believed in negativity and always had a positive outlook on it all. http://gifsforum.com/images/gif/you%20are%20good/grand/you-are-good-eccbc87e4b5ce2fe28308fd9f2a7baf3-248.gif That was such a Phil Dunphy quote too.

Mirallas is significantly cheaper, and is more of a goalscorer imo. I have both. Taking Neil's word on Mirallas being their "guy", and Coutinho did have 3g/7a in just 13 games for them last season. Plus he should be slotted in at AM. Bit the bullet and brought-in Van Persie. Kept Berbatov, but had to lose Lukaku. Still feel pretty good about the midfield (Coutinho, Mirallas, Hazard, Nolan, Wilshere).

Can you have Real Madrid players? http://31.media.tumblr.com/8a3646a9adff9650ba919ee119c38447/tumblr_mgkvav83ec1rbvuseo1_500.jpg

I've got both myself. Coleman should do well under Martinez and Mirallas looks a smart player.
-
Despite my feeling that RvP is still overpriced, I think I need him in my squad.
-
I get the feeling Moyes is a stop-gap solution until they can find their "guy." Maybe Mourinho fucks off from Chelsea, again. Maybe they're waiting for Klopp to look for a new challenge. AVB wouldn't be a terrible choice in a few years either. Doubt it. Can imagine Sir Alex had him in line to replace him for years. Maybe. Moyes for sure is a good enough manager to keep them in contention for the CL, at the very least. But is he good enough to keep them as favorites for the league title each year? I don't know. He was a safe choice, not a sexy one.

Welbeck and Sturridge would seem to complement each other well. At least on paper. Have they seen much time together on the field?

It's getting nit-picky and stupid now. Zeman valued Bradley, Andreazzoli valued him, and Garcia seems to value him. As does Klinsmann. And the fact that he can be compared to Daniele De Rossi speaks volumes.
-
And yet Bradley had a higher % of interceptions and lower % of clearances than De Rossi.
-
As a purely holding midfielder. Roma didn't rely on their DM, particularly under Zeman, to generate scoring chances.
-
Bradley completed 89% of his passes last season, with 71.4% of completed passes going forward. With 0 defensive errors. http://www.squawka.com/players/michael-bradley#avg.-pass-accuracy#roma-(current)#italian-serie-a#21#season-2012/2013#6#all-matches#1-37#type

Arteta should be good for 115-130 points. Paulinho has potential for more, but he's not proven.

Why couldn't a "world class" player get a game for Villa? Surely even Alex McLeish wouldn't have left him out so much if he was "World Class"? Only playing Devil's Advocate btw I dunno, why does Pardew insist on playing Jonas 30+ matches a year? Incompetence does exist among PL managers and McLeish has proven to be a dullard. Bradley left Villa, went to Chievo and played so well that Roma sprung for him, and he played more minutes for them than any other midfielder in their squad last season. But "world" class. Come on Deuce, he isn't "world" class is he? He wouldn't get anywhere near an England midfield, and we don't really have any "world" class midfielders. As a neutral, Bradley would walk into the England midfield. And saying that does not make him "world class". Wouldn't say he's the best player the US have either tbh. I still think Dempsey is the "best" player we have, but Bradley is the most important. We can win games without Dempsey, or Donovan, or Altidore. But we lose that game yesterday, and most games, without Bradley. He controls the game for us.
