What makes you skeptical? Moutinho went for ~£21m and he's just a shade younger than Cabaye. Moutinho's team won the league. Porto wins the league almost every year though. I don't think £15-20mil for Cabaye is unreasonable, especially considering Monaco has no qualms about spending and Ashley is a frugal bastard.

Nope. He's already said he didn't just move here because of Cabaye and regardless of where Cabaye ends up, he's staying. Well, it's not as if he'd come out with, "Yes I'm here solely to play alongside my best mate and lover, Yohan."
-
Can you see Ashley being nickel-n'-dimed by Monaco though? He knows they have cash to spend, he'll squeeze as much out of it as possible.
-
Yeah I think Mapou has a lot of promise as a future captain for NUFC.
-
Well, if he's out the door, I certainly hope he doesn't leave on the cheap.
-
It will hit you when we replace him with Nigel Reo-Coker. Useful player for Vancouver this season...
-
Think I'd drown in a sea of self induced spunk if we signed Lamela.
-
Definitely a tough player, but he also has a penchant for bad tackles. A rather sloppy player at times.
-
De Rossi's one of the tougher players I've seen. Just a hard player to go up against.
-
Bent Cisse Jonas HBA It'd be funny if it weren't in the realm of possibilities.
-
Surprised he didn't include himself.

Yeah but their stripes are more iconic than ours. It means nothing to fuck around with our kit. [/sarcasm]

We get them in January Arguably we're already a few months ahead. Actually we were 6 months behind.

You'd think having ownership of C.D. Guadalajara would be enough. They already employ a strict Mexican-only policy. Rare that something like that actually works...imagine a PL club hiring only English players. They would be in the same place as Valencia/Atlético if they didn't limit themselves though. Any more news on the New York City frankenstein? When it's supposed to join the league? At least I'll finally have a team I care about in the MLS, even if it's just to despise it. Good shout for Bilbao. Mighty impressive that they're able to compete with mostly Basque players. Just goes to show the incredible depth in Spain. Imagine NUFC trying to field a team of all Geordies. New York City FC is due to start play in 2014, I believe.

Rafa Marquez came to MLS at 31 and was utter dogshit, while Marco Di Vaio has been excellent at 36. It's really hit or miss with aging European players. It'll be interesting to see if Senna has anything left. He's definitely not the kind of player to draw ooh's and aah's from American fans, if that's what Cosmos are going for.

No it's a midfielders fault for not providing enough support to a striker so a team needs to rely on individual brilliance by this player (weird sentence not sure if it makes sense ). In any case he only started 16 games this season and I think that speaks volumes of his ability. He had trouble to get into the team when everyone was fit. I saw quite a bit of Liverpool, didn't see much tbf but nothing he does impresses me. Against us where he scored 20% of his seasons goals and 25% of his seasons assists was the only decent game he had and even then it was down mostly to us being embarassing. We'll have to agree to disagree here Deuce To be fair, if they get a decent winger over the summer and move Coutinho to AM, it's a pick-2 of Gerrard-Henderson-Lucas-Allen and Henderson likely sees more time on the bench, depending on how Gerrard holds-up.
-
Depends, do they offer high-interest loans?
-
It's Henderson's fault as a midfielder that Liverpool are overly reliant on Suarez? How does the success of other players negate Henderson's performance? A midfield-3 of Gerrard-Henderson-Lucas is the strongest Liverpool can put forward, with Coutinho cutting-in from the left, Downing out on the right, and Sturridge up top (assuming Suarez leaves).
-
Why would Wonga agree to that? good PR for them to say they're sensitive to peoples religious beliefs or some s*** like that? Good PR for a week or global brand name exposure for 4 years, I know where my money is. Wonga needs NUFC more than NUFC needs Wonga.

Agreed. So could Shola, he might wake up tomorrow and actually be a footballer. Henderson is as long as he keeps doing what he's doing and developing at the rate that he is NEVER becoming a £15m player. Except Henderson played very well for Liverpool last season. He's starting for one of the world's biggest clubs, with a lot of competition in midfield. And he's only 22 years old. £15m also isn't as much money as it used to be.

At least they're not trying to save Africa anymore.

I vote that we just go sponsorless next season. Agreed? Right.
