OK. Now I understand that the League Cup has been devalued in some eyes, as has the UEFA Europa League, and to an extent, the FA Cup. I understand that getting Top 4 makes you shit-loads more money than winning any of the three, and not coincidentally makes you more attractive to players. But fuck off. Fuck. Off. Winning a trophy is fucking ace, your best day as a supporter, and if you don't want to win the thing then scratch and give someone else a bye so they can have a go. Arsenal fan acting like silverware doesn't matter. They'd take the Johnstone's Paint Trophy at this point if they could.
  2. Still one brilliant and beautiful thunderbastard.

Yup. Would love to find the forward version of them, someone who can fit in anywhere and doesn't let us down. Perhaps Gouffran is that person although he definitely seems a higher quality. Imagining that Capo Robby is actually the one posting, I want to punch you in the face after every post you make.

Honestly, best defensive performance of the season. Both of them were absolutely tremendous. The amount of headers won against Traore was ridiculous. That's what amazed me. They kept floating balls in towards Traore before Mbiwa or Perch flew up past his head and cleared them. We of all fans should know that height does not necessarily equate with aerial prowess. 5. As a side note, seemed to me that Eto'o was playing rather deep tonight. Almost as an attacking midfielder. Traore if anyone positioned himself like a striker would. I did notice that which is far removed from his strengths IMO and we seemed quite comfortable to deal with it. Except for those two cracking shots, he seemed pretty ineffective tonight.

Perch and Raylor, cut from the same cloth. Jacks-of-all-trades, masters of none. Every squad needs them though.

  8. Home kit is nothing special. Clean as it should be. Like the away kit though. Look nice with some white shorts.
  9. He's a very good player on an incredible run of form. If he can replicate this over a full season or two, then we can wank ourselves silly over him. Nobody is deserving of being hyped before games he's not even playing in though.

Not really sure who you're referring to looking at the last page or so. Not as hard as usual, mind: Thises ^
  11. Best player in history with another goal.
  12. Been impressed with his performances past couple weeks. Not as commanding as Krul, but not dreadful by any means.
  13. Too long. Just far too long We've finally managed to rid ourselves of Vile Nile, just give it time for Obey.

Beginning the understand why some have been fed-up with this thread. Not much to criticize the man for tonight.

Disagree completely, this leg gives us the perfect opportunity to go through, if we mess it up next week the problem is next week not with this result. Bingo.
  16. I'd not put that past Pards though. "Alright lads, need to hold the lead in the second leg."
  17. Positives: defensive play. Even Obertan's tracking-back was mint. Negatives: everything else.
