No way Denmark should've lost by that count, but Armenia's got some quality in their side. Only a matter of time before a bigger club poaches Mkhitaryan from Shakhtar.

Unless he plays like Samba himself.

Neil would still take Jo at Everton, as he'd be a nice complement to Steven Naismith.
-
That's the thing though, Jo looks to have far more talent than Pato at the moment. I'm serious, Jo isn't THAT BAD, he's the leading scorer of the Libertadores and scored a bit last season (10goals and 7assists in 28 games). Not saying he should start or even be called up, but he's not as bad as Pato at the moment. Tbf, my opinion of Jo will always be tainted by his lackluster spell at City.
-
Pato at least has talent hidden somewhere. I'm not convinced Jo has any. And since Brazil has nothing to lose with regards to WCQ, they might as well get Pato as much playing time before 2014 as possible, try to get him back up to speed.
-
Even Pato in the awful form he's in would be a better option than Jo.

I'll grant that Rodgers is perhaps better at getting the most out of his players than unearthing diamonds in the rough. Henderson and Downing both had solid seasons after nightmare campaigns under Dalglish. Hell even Shelvey and Sterling had their moments when given the opportunity. And Sturridge would've continued to rot on the bench/on the wing for Chelsea.

Obertan's been nothing short of a waste of the £3m we spent on him. Granted that's not Borini money, but still.

Every manager has their facepalm acquisition.
-
He brought in Vorm, Sinclair, Britton, Routledge, and Graham for Swansea and Coutinho, Sturridge, and Allen (that one's arguable, especially considering the price) for Liverpool. I think he's a decent judge of talent.

It's damn near impossible to play Cabaye and Sissoko together, regardless of formation, and get the best out of both. In a 2-man midfield, neither is particularly adept at holding: Cabaye needs cover in order to make plays, and Sissoko just wants to bomb forward. In a 3-man midfield, neither Cabaye nor Sissoko is best at playing forward (this is Marveaux's best position). But if you play a midfield 3 with Marveaux forward, you lose play-making: Cabaye has to drop to cover the front 4 because Sissoko certainly isn't going to do it.

Could get Michu, could get Xisco. Rodgers does seem a shrewd scout though.

Ecuador is a drastically different team away from home. I'd prefer they not qualify just because I think they'd be a lame duck in Brazil.

They give out Islamic loans. Just Islamic loans? Muslamic Ray Loans.

Documentary on the way about the Egypt national team under coach Bob Bradley: http://www.kickingandscreening.com/blog/2013/06/film-about-american-coach-bob-bradley-the-egyptian-national-soccer-team-is-getting-closer.html

Spot on. I can't take another season of Cabaye's moon shots.

So many Islamic law experts around here.

He's miles (/km's) better than Jonas, Obertan, Ferguson, Sammy, Marveaux (as a winger) or any other player we'd play out wide.

Rather upset that we don't have one. Be great to see some asshole dressed up as a cartoon Magpie harassing the opposition. http://www.nufc.co.uk/javaImages/56/27/0,,10278~9512790,00.jpg fucking Yanks pretending Monty and Maggie don't exist, man. I'll be completely honest, I had no fucking clue we had these wackos. Do they actually do anything other than photo shoots?

Creating a human being like MyPalAl's parents. I could do it better.
