  1. Yes, when I’ve seen him play for AC anyway.
  2. Unlikely to happen I’d of thought.
  3. Yes but I’d bet the 49% get their own way 99/100 times.
  4. German football clubs have huge businesses involved in their ownership model, it isn’t the egalitarian model everyone thinks it is.
  5. If they did I’d love to see KSA sponsor what’s left of the PL for far more than sponsors of any ESL.
  6. The meeting is today and tomorrow according to the Douglas article or have I got it wrong?
  7. Well we’ll just have to be happy with who we are and accept that the elite clubs have crushed any ambition the club, it’s owners and fans have.
  8. If we don’t do anything then we’ll just have to be happy being an also rans.
  9. It’s lengthy but worth a listen…….what I took from it was sport is special but not as special as it thinks it is given sports are multi billion £ businesses these days. https://www.blackstonechambers.com/podcasts/the-sports-law-podcast/the-sport-and-competition-law-podcast/
  10. Then maybe we as an ambitious club should be content with just competing in the PL with the odd European jaunt and the odd trophy, LC or FA cup……that’s went well over the last 67 years hasn’t it.
  11. All that’s fine however, ambitious clubs still need to be allowed to grow through increased revenue streams but even that is being strangled by imposing FMV especially on sponsorship. It’s protectionism by the elite and should be challenged, governing bodies should organise competitions, they should not be allowed to involve themselves in any clubs commercial activities.
  12. HB arriving at SJP https://x.com/jordancronin_/status/1753768109104566519?s=46&t=RaLdCRuzyWBbm603Y3eUgg
  13. Given the reluctance or even refusal of the old wealthy clubs to change FFP it could leave some owners with little alternative other than to go to Competition Tribunals or to Court seeking rulings. I listened to the Blackstone Chambers Pod right through and it was interesting listening to the outcome of recent case rulings. Lawyers seem to be in agreement that sport is special however it is not as special as it, and others think it is, and now that it is a multi billion Pound business Competition Law applies.
  14. That’s about it…..you can see an almighty court battle about this shit.
  15. https://www.blackstonechambers.com/podcasts/the-sports-law-podcast/the-sport-and-competition-law-podcast/ Worth a listen.
  16. FIFA talking about algorithms for transfer fees……I wonder which clubs will benefit from that?? https://x.com/telefootball/status/1753440638857826564?s=61&t=Yt8DTJJ-7Jh_ndgpdGSFKQ
  17. Article from Zeigler on FFP/PSR not behind a paywall. https://x.com/martynziegler/status/1753072773059039495?s=61&t=Yt8DTJJ-7Jh_ndgpdGSFKQ
  18. Nowt happening other than flights from Majorca etc?‍♂️
  19. Wonder if this will benefit us? https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/18b877a4-b633-448e-b7c6-64a8c6b2ee61?shareToken=a943764ff240ece103ed4629dfaa4985
  20. It is, saw a post on Twitter, fans of other clubs are already saying it has to be stopped. Clubs are Falcons, Leicester, Northampton and Gloucester.
  21. Swedish, Norwegian……your all vikings??
  22. I could see it going the other way and PiF ending up with 100% ownership tbh.
  23. Both the Ashworth and Eales interviews when they happened seemed odd and baffled lots of fans including myself. It looks like it’s part of a wider stratergy. The noise and publicity by the media is growing louder by the day. Eales also indicated that the club wouldn’t challenge FFP/PSR legally, however even talking about such action gives the PL food for thought. It’ll be interesting what comes out of the PL meeting in February, FFP/PSR has to be high on the agenda.
  24. Interesting take on Darren Eales interview a few weeks back. https://x.com/davidpick1987/status/1752071723988455831?s=61&t=Yt8DTJJ-7Jh_ndgpdGSFKQ
