  1. No it wont be in the courts…………..and a club (City) are understood to have threatened legal action in CAT more than likely. https://www.catribunal.org.uk
  2. Fucking hell…….their Social Fund grant must’ve been approved.
  3. Sorry but the need for social housing far outweighs the needs of private housing development.
  4. It won’t be social housing you can bet on that, there might be a tiny proportion available for rent and believe me it won’t be affordable rent that will help homeless people. If they were to build all social housing on the site I’d fully agree with you.
  5. Doesn’t mean that housing will be built. The land can still be sold by them say to the club if they want to build a stadium.
  6. Member of my family is a consultant town planner and has visited the Arena site in connection with work. It’s ideal for a stadium, also it’s only been ‘master planned’ and the land has been purchased. It’s all down to the club approaching the council, should they want to, with plans for the site. Master planning doesn’t mean that housing etc will be built there. The land can still be purchased from the current owners, probably at a profit, once again only if the club chooses to go that way. As for all the green land around Newcastle, green belt and green field sites are completely different things in planning, so I’m told.
  7. You don’t work with cartels in any sector of business, you work to destroy them and the same applies to football or any elite sport.
  8. Until City were taken over they were an average club as we are. We’re being denied the right to compete as are other ambitious clubs. It needs to change and if the cartel clubs don’t like it tough, even Palace’s co owner has spoken out against the current rules.
  9. Therefore it’s no different to any other business sector which wouldn’t tolerate constructs like FFP and FMV. They would rapidly be challenged at a Competition Appeals Tribunal.
  10. I’ve said it many times, all that exists in football is self interest, all the altruistic bollocks about protecting other clubs is a steaming pile of shite.
  11. If we, or others don’t resort to legal action then we’ll just have to be happy as an also ran, a mid to top 6-7 club that might fluke the odd cup, although lets face it we haven’t for the last 68 years. Everyone can see what’s going on now, even ordinary fans, that a cartel is well established. Smash it to fucking pieces and let the scouse and Manc twats really hate us.
  12. Yes, all the industry like the old lead works fucked off…Arena site is ideal and would completely regenerate the area.
  13. There are geo political reasons for that though.
  14. He certainly fucked governing bodies attempts to cap agents fees under anti competitive legislation. https://x.com/nickdemarco_/status/1741102055014433221?s=61&t=Yt8DTJJ-7Jh_ndgpdGSFKQ https://x.com/nickdemarco_/status/1735644167521341793?s=61&t=Yt8DTJJ-7Jh_ndgpdGSFKQ
  15. TeamTalk on Twitter……..as reliable as a broken watch.
  16. It only needs one club…….if it’s City so be it, the important point is likely legal action could be coming. I’d also add it’s highly likely that that there’ll have been some lengthy discussions with the City board on how to take it forward.
  17. Mark Douglas………City and us, possible legal battles
  18. Agreed and the first hint of ‘legal battles’.
  19. I wouldn’t be to sure, litigation doesn’t bother PIF, LIV Golf tells you that.
  20. Challenge FMV at least at a Competition Appeals Tribunal, it really is the only way.
  21. Governing bodies, PL, UEFA’, and FIFA are involving themselves in clubs commercial activities and on every level that is wrong and should be challenged. As you say there is no other sector would this be tolerated. FFP restricts investment from owners and FMV restricts clubs from increasing revenue streams unless a governing body agrees it’s fair, what the fuck!!
  22. Fuck knows what happened there.
  23. The club has to make that decision though, it’s either or, I doubt it can be both.
