  1. UEFA FFP rules are also open to a legal challenge, EU Competition Law almost mirrors UK law. The strongest leagues in UEFA are also members of the EU any ruling by the CJEU couldn’t be ignored by UEFA if a challenge was made.
  2. No good having rich owners if the twats who are already rich prevent your owners investing. Fuck FFP and FMV off.
  3. Yes, mind they’re conflicted at times. Look at the dates of these tweets
  4. https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/ffp-rule-change-would-make-28706446 I know it’s the Chronicle but?‍♂️
  5. It’s like most things at the PL, make shit up as things happen.
  6. They’re also mired in sanctions imposed by the west, they’d be as welcome as owners as Abramovich was after the Russians invaded the Ukraine. Not that those fucking idiots on groomers would know that.
  7. The solution is not to break the rules, it’s to get rid of the rules!!
  8. The more teams that are wealthy and become untouchables……what a competition we’d have though.
  9. I hope City’s lawyers chew up the PL and spit the fuckers out.
  10. This is why a legal challenge is the only way to effect change??‍♂️
  11. We, as a club need to be saying doing more. Our takeover resulted in us being hated anyway, challenge this legally and give the fuckers something to really hate us for.
  12. Agree with what you say apart from nobody cares…..there’s now a lot of noise in the media and clubs are becoming more aware.
  13. Can’t see the cartel clubs agreeing to that, can you?
  14. As I said in an earlier post, football and altruism aren’t good bed fellows, self interest is all that exists in football and sport in general, at elite level, winning is all that matters. Oh and yes I want Newcastle to join them because they certainly aren’t going away.
  15. You think competition is alive? Until Abu Dhabi and Abramovich turned up look at the honours and who won them all. Call that competition, I call it something else.
  16. You sound like you’re quite happy for the red cartel to continue as they are.
  17. You won’t agree but a lot of recent cases supersedes the Mecca-Medina agreement I suspect you’re referring to re sport being special. https://www.blackstonechambers.com/podcasts/the-sports-law-podcast/the-sport-and-competition-law-podcast/
  18. Got the wrong person……voted labour all my life but not interested in all that communist shite.
  19. FFP and FMV are anti competitive and have no place in football, owners are responsible for their spending, spend recklessly and you go under as in any sector of business. Football is a business these days, it isn’t special, it isn’t entitled to implement rules that protect 5 to 6 clubs, change is needed and the sooner the better.
  20. You’re describing FFP and FMV, that’s exactly what it does, put controls in place that benefits cartel clubs.
  21. I think this says it all by someone who knows….. https://x.com/magpie24_7/status/1761894675814789314?s=46&t=RaLdCRuzyWBbm603Y3eUgg
  22. There are some on here that don’t think that a legal challenge against FFP and FMV should be made, it is the only way, let a competition tribunal make the definitive decision on the legality of these rules. If we don’t challenge them we’ll be nothing more than a top half club that might win the odd cup. Many might be happy with that, I’m not??‍♂️
  23. Is the semi final over two legs?
