  1. There's the optimism we've been lacking around here. Well, I have repeatedly shown optimism. In fact not optimism . . certainty !! Absolutely ?
  2. Don’t you get that contracts have been signed and he’s selling to PIF for £300 million?
  3. He’s the forum twat. It works like Paedo Paed Pae Pa P Cunt Captain cuntychops gets my vote. I'll settle for Redbird. Escrow Wanker No-one deserves this. You won't find a single example of me personally attacking another forummer, yet I'm expected to suffer this level of personal abuse, vitriol and threats? It's not on. I'll tell you what, my posts in here up until this point have been purely factual, an attempt to educate and inform those members who are less able to understand the world. But when these Saudis are told where to go (and they will be), I'll crack a smile, I really will. You beasts deserve nothing less. You’re full of fucking shit.
  4. Refute what, piracy? The WTO report came to the conclusion they didn’t do enough to prevent piracy which they’ve seemed to accept by not contesting the reports findings.
  5. He is most definitely not a mackem like! Sunderland fan according to the commentary. He’s a Hebburn lad, I’ve heard that he and his family are mackems.
  6. Formal announcement July 1st Next Thursday, money for purchase will already be in the UK, held in escrow.
  7. https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/steve-bruce-says-deserves-newcastle-22227403
  8. Oliver Dowden the DCMS Minister of State has said the government won’t get involved, at least officially. They might have had a chat with the PL given the amount of business the Saudis do in the UK, they won’t want to lose out if the Saudis are pissed off. I’ve no of knowing however, just my thoughts.
  9. Again that’s just an interpretation that’s what leaves this whole thing on a knife edge as everyone has different views on it. That's no interpretation, there is nothing in the report stating the government of KSA or PIF were directly involved in the transmission. No but the reporters who are saying it does are highlighting other points about them not shitting it down which shows they supported it and seem to believe that will be enough. You could say that about Amazon then also as you can install the Kodi/IPTV (and I presume BEoutQ) apps on the firestick so why have they not shut that down/stopped available downloads of these apps I honestly think the report gives the premier league enough room to decide either way and not suffer any backlash. Not sure I agree with that mind Same here, I think if they do turn it down it gets overturned on appeal, as there is nothing linking PIF with piracy. There is no doubt that it could and possibly should be turned down on moral grounds, but that ship sailed years ago with Russian, UAE, Chinese and Saudi ownership already in the premier league, so if they did take a stand now it would be ripped apart by the Saudi lawyers. Moral grounds are not part of the PL ODT. Exactly they are not as they choose to not put them in, so can’t turn us down. What I was trying to say on moral grounds the Saudis probably shouldn’t be able to buy a football club but that also goes for almost half of the other premier league clubs If they revamp the test after this takeover they may/could add such a rule, however morality is a minefield.

  11. The area highlighted seems pretty definite to me, nothing to misinterpret.
  12. Not going to happen but fail to see how that would be amusing ? They will get involved, it’s just that we’ll never get to know about it or the level of their involvement. I’ve also wondered, if PIF as an investment vehicle, were taking over a steelworks or any UK business that employed 1000’s of workers whether those who object to our takeover, on moral grounds, would be making so much noise, I somehow don’t think they would. Football clubs are not like other businesses So fuck.

  14. He’s the forum twat. I've not seen enough of him to judge. He just seems like a colossal pessimist to me. If the takeover is announced he’d still be pessimistic about it.
  15. its still not immune to litigation. They have to give their reasons and apply their ODT fairly.
  16. You would think so, I would have thought no company, organisation public or private has immunity to prevent litigation.
  17. He’s a barrister, I’ll take his assessment over Luke fucking Edwards.
  18. I suspect the legal advice that the PL receive won't be clear cut, but will say that there are no legal constraints against accepting the deal, but it may be subject to challenge. In which case, I think the PL will accept the deal, and it'll then boil down to whether the Qataris are able and motivated to mount a challenge. I'm not sure under what legal mechanism they'd be able to do that, and how far the burden of proof would fall on them. Trouble is, money is no object, and this could drag on for a long time. Would the Quatari’s have the right to mount a challenge, the governance of the PL has nothing to do with them.
