The UEFA FFP rules have little relevance for us.. for now. I'm not sure it's in the PL's constitution to demand anything from KSA. If the takeover is signed off, NUFC wil have to play by the PL's version of FFP as everybody else in the league. Because a potential rejection would mean that PIF are not suitable to own a football club in the PL. The whole reason for the Saudi investment in nufc is that it should be led by MBS' PIF. I’m going with the legal opinion in the two Football Law reports. If the PL reject then the lawsuits will likely come thick and fast.

Any an announcement will come from PIF, the PL won’t announce it....so until we hear from PIF.

They're saying that if the takeover happens, Newcastle can't play in the PL because MBS (presumably) is on their "not allowed" list. Newcastle then have to choose between the takeover, which legally cannot be stopped, and playing in the PL, which is nothing but a glorified members club. Imagine you ran a TV network, and you bid for and won an exclusive contract to broadcast a particular franchise to, say, 200 million people. Then, after the fact, it turned out that you can actually only broadcast (and sell advertising) to 150 million people.
