  1. Trial begins today in Turkey, I can’t see any announcement whilst this is going on tbh. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-53276121
  2. Does a player have to earn £300k a week? Does a ticket to a game have to be £75? Do agents have to earn millions? Why is more and more and more money a good thing? It’s not just football, does any sportsmen/women have to earn millions a year. Lewis Hamilton makes some footballers look like fucking paupers.
  3. The Football Law opinion indicates that Saudi and Qatari lawyers accept that PIF is a separate legal entity. ∆ On 2 June 2020 Qatari- and Saudi- based lawyers provided confirmation to this author that KSA PIF is a separate legal entity. I think it's pretty clear that's not the case. I’ll go with the lawyers opinion not some know it all on N-O.

  5. You sold that well from the off but fair play. I thought to mention it for those who are eternally optimistic, but doubt the story or aspects of the story. It would make sense if the club had mentioned it to the police force, but I doubt the Premier League would, as I doubt they will be making an announcement. I don’t think they would usually, but their seems some doubt in this case due to high profile nature of it. I personally think they will have to say something, even if it’s a very bland statement. Something like “there’s no timescale to conducting the O&D tests” Don’t we know it.
  6. Agree with him a decision needs making as the club is in limbo, however he was never going to have a major rant at the PL.
  7. Fucking he’ll, close up of Bruce, he’s got bigger tits than wor lass
  8. He won’t. He might. He won’t, he works for the BBC and they and their presenters have to remain impartial. He’s a pundit who’s paid to give his opinion, there isn’t anything to stop him giving his point of view on takeover. To give opinions on games, that’s all not to take up the cause of NUFC by having a rant at the PL. He’ll hardly mention the takeover other than in general terms, i.e, the club is in limbo etc.

  10. They're not going to walk away this theory that the Premier League are dragging it for this purpose is mental It’s as believable as any other of the theories going round. I don't agree to be honest. I don't care how much money they have, I can't believe that the buyers will just walk away and lose their deposit because they got fed up of waiting. They wouldn’t give Qatar the pleasure of just walking away.
  11. The Saudis won’t walk away, it’s about saving face. They’ll stay there until the PL make a decision.
  12. Time for some humour. https://twitter.com/NUFCRobb/status/1276824422612164610
  13. Well that was a good guess....clueless as usual....still it’s the positive Thread so after the latest news from Alan Nixon:- “Looks like Premier want Saudis to do a TV deal at their end ... all a bit political ... get something out of it ... nod it through.”..... So I’m going for Saudi does deal with PL next week re TV rights and takeover confirmed Tuesday 7th July....If I’m wrong I’ll come up with a new theory? Has the bidding process started for the new tv deal, also Bein have the rights to PL football in the region, can the PL do a deal with the Saudis? It would piss Bein off and could be a breach of the current deal surely.
  14. hate shit like this, the PL rules are vague as fuck for a reason man, so they can do what they want and let whoever they want into their club/deny access if the saudis hadn't been cunts over the piracy thing they'd not have been in this position What they are assessed on is not vague. Saying to someone you can’t buy the club unless you buy the TV rights is a clear attempt of blackmail. Even if it was allowed within the Premier League’s own rules, it wouldn’t be allowed legally. Mind it looks like it’s a no nowt junior journo who’s tweeted this shite.
  15. I dont think he'd need to sell us to buy intu. Intu own 60% of Eldon Square. Eldon Square probably has about 50% of the retail space in Newcastle. In comparison Ashley a few years ago bought 1 building on Northumberland Street for £30m. Even in administration it would cost billions to buy all of Intu’s properties. As of yesterday it had a market capitalisation of £52million. There is no way you could buy it for £52m. It would be the biggest bargain ever. Maybe not because it also has debts which is why its in the position it is. Yeah, you'd need to pay back the creditors if you bought it at that price. Would you have to pay back the creditors or manage the debt ? I know they've already breached their debt covenants and those they owe money have had the opportunity to take the centres over themselves. They will go into administration today I should think and then it will be a case of best buyer gets them off the administrators. Ashley will be desperate for his £283 million then.
  16. Strange tweet, mind sky News would know if it was happening but embargoed.
  17. I agree, it’s an ideal time to make the decision. As much as that makes sense I think if they did that people would be screaming about the timing taking the gloss off their title win. ?‍♂️ I’m not so sure, at the moment Newcastle aren’t on the radar or perceived as a threat to the top six, when the takeover happens that is likely to change.
  18. I agree, it’s an ideal time to make the decision. Basically if it doesn't happen in the coming couple of days, it's off. No, not at all, it’ll happen, just a little longer.
