Not surprised tbh he knows even if he has a blinder he's back on the bench next game. It's pathetic. Also don't agree with people saying he was terrible, not that I think he was good...just think it's unfair to make any judgement till he's given more than 10/15mins. His morale must be rock bottom now and I'm fairly sure he'll follow Cabaye out the door. Mostly down to our managers stupidity/inability to find him a role. Ben Arfa hasn't had a blinder in a while. It's hard to justify giving him any more time on the pitch at the moment. What? He needs to make the most of the time he does get on the pitch. His recent cameos have been poor. He's not done anything to suggest we should rejig the side to accommodate him. Does he need to take on the entire team and score a goal every time he's on the pitch? He won the free kick for our last goal yesterday. How many 'blinders' have Sissoko and Gouffran played recently? He's judged on a completely different scale to the rest of our players. It hardly helps him when he's getting subbed on last so he's coming on in a weakened team too.

Those two on bbc newcastle saying that we should be looking to offload him.

How much somebody is paid should have nothing to do with how they are treated, should it? Especially when they're not even paid that well in relation to how much money they're bringing in. soljers wages

A fitting tribute Oakie Watching Sewelley's goals compilation and I'd forgotten about most of them, 5 or 6 of them were solo goals where he took on a bunch of players to score. The free kick off his arse that he claimed was my favourite.

Aye i'm not denying it was a poor tackle. Like Santoon said it wasn't too different to tackles you see every game where they try to take players down, but he did kick out harder than you usually see, so I think it could have been a red. There's a massive middle ground between 'typical tackle to stop a breakaway' and 'assault' and it falls somewhere in between the two Either way between this and Pardew being a massive bellend it has taken away from the real issue which was the Tioté goal.

Apart from the fact that it isn't, it's a game called football. As in your play with your feet. People are going to get kicked. That's not too far away from saying "aye outside of the boxing ring that's assault".

I wonder how much JFK is on. Actually, I'd probably rather not know

Made the mistake of looking on the Blue Moon forum this morning. City fans usually seem fairly level headed but loads of them are calling it an assault, comparing it to the Ben Thatcher incident and saying it should be referred to the CPS. Fuck off

Rugby refs have mics don't they? It'd certainly be interesting

Chapman should do more football coverage.

Such a soft pen for Liverpool.

It's a case of the injury being worse than the offence in my opinion. Bad tackle that could possibly have been given a red but you see challenges than that all the time, they just go by without much mention because no one got hurt.
