Robert played for us before I took much of an interest in football but I remember bits and pieces of him. Watched a compilation on YouTube of him recently and some of the goals he scored were rediculous, fairly sure some of those aren't actually possible

I was about to come and say that. He'd said all along he wanted a move but didn't want to screw the club over. Fair play to him, doubt many would do the same.

He talks about it as if the PL clubs have some sort of agenda to stop English players playing in the league. If they were better players they'd be playing. I don't watch the PL to watch XI Englishmen play XI Englishmen, I watch it to watch some of the best footballers in the world, very few of whom are English.

The loan that he seems to want paid off sharpish is the 20 odd million he injected after we went down I think. /we went down because of his mistakes again though obviously. Are there any other owners in the league who treat investing in the club as loans like that? That bottom bit is what I don't get at all, he's had to invest more money because of his incompetence surely. as of now, all of them according to how i understand the new rules. Is that something to do with the FFP rules? Like I say I have literally no understanding of how these things work so the whole logic behind it just seems utterly bizzare to me.

Yep, think people worked out that pressing Tioté is a sure fire way of making him do something daft and giving Cabaye a bit of a kicking makes him go full emo.

Is his 'loan' to the club just things he had to pay off when he bought the club because he hadn't done his homework properly?

By far the most balanced team we can put out, it makes so much sense that I'll be massively disappointed if we don't line up with those three in midfield and Hatem, Remy and Cisse up front. It seems so obvious that this should be the team, but it's just as likely we'll start a 4-4-2 with Tioté and Jonas back.

Still think this is the saddest part of everything at the moment, everyone has had the fight taken out of them and loads seem more than happy to accept mediocrity. If people at the club had been spouting some of the shit they do now 10 years ago there would have been hell on. Not that i'm blaming anyone for it, I can't help but feel apathetic about the club most of the time nowadays.
