Aye, realistically. A draw would be OK as we'd at least have it in our hands on the final day, but if Milan lost tonight and drew in Dortmund, then we'd just need a point in the final match.

Champions League 2023/2024: Group F (Newcastle, Milan, Dortmund, PSG)

I just can't see us winning in Paris at all, especially with the stretched squad. We'll realistically lose, in which case we'd definitely be out, so I'd rather put eggs in one basket and know that if we beat Milan stay in Europe a bit longer. -
Champions League 2023/2024: Group F (Newcastle, Milan, Dortmund, PSG)

I guess it's hope PSG beat or at least draw with Milan later which would mean that we at worst would have a winner takes all chance of 3rd against Milan on the final day. If Milan beat PSG then it will be fairly likely we finish bottom of the group, even on 7 points. -
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1973–74_European_Cup_Winners'_Cup#Second_leg_2 As we play Dortmund in the Champions League, It'll be exactly 50 years tomorrow since Sunderland last played in Europe, their 4th match to date.

19 points and further injuries to VDV and Maddison - I think it's probably time for a wildcard. Big Jamaal's 9 points sat wasted on the bench.

Been incredible drama in the Sky picks this weekend.
-
I'm just sat here giggling. Never seen such a mental match.
-
Long time to go to use up all your subs. Any more injuries and they're down to 8 men.
-
Wolves A Villa H Man City A West Ham H Newcastle H Forest A Tough period coming up for Spurs, especially with all these injuries and suspensions.
-
So are we more wanting draw or Chelsea here?
-
Should have been at least 3 or 4 more mins added to the 12 mins.
-
Crazy crazy stuff. Nightmare half for Spurs after starting it so well.
-
Wow. This match.
-
Don't think I've ever seen such an eventful opening 30 mins to a match than this.

I'd be happy with a draw here. Still 3 points dropped for Spurs at home, and keep Chelsea pegged back. Chelsea seem a long way away from us but that could soon change if they were to win here and then beat us in a few weeks. Draw, Chelsea, Spurs. Could have done without that mind.

I've often wondered if the Tees-Wear derby might actually become the regional match. There's a slight chance we play Boro in the League Cup, but we've not played them for almost 14 years, and it's coming up to 8 years since we last played Sunderland (so if you're like 15 then you won't really remember playing them, or 20 in Boro's case), whereas, despite Sunderland recently having 4 years in the third tier, Sunderland and Boro have played each other 8 times since we last played either, and will obviously be at least 9 by the end of the season, possibly more if they met in the playoffs. They've been more align with each other these past 30-50 years. We've had 29 of the 32 Premier League years in the top flight, whereas Sunderland and Middlesbrough have only had 16 and 15 respectively, their recent matches have had a lot more needle, red cards etc. and if they do keep on competing at the top end of the second tier, or perhaps the odd season fighting PL relegation together, and involved in more and more higher stakes matches, this rivalry may become fiercer than Sunderland in particular would like to admit.

Title showdown next Sunday @Ikon. Late equaliser today, but didn't really do much to the table apart from maybe a bit of momentum.
-
Compassion aside, he surely should have been booked for the celebration?

That's fine. So many times the better or more fancied side will go on to win these types of matches. Man U scoring in the 94th and 97th vs Brentford, and Spurs scoring in the 98th and 101 against Sheff U. Shame they couldn't hold on, but still 2 points dropped for Liverpool, and a lot better than I was expecting.

Feels like a cup tie is a big cliche, but this does legit feel like an FA Cup third round match.
-
This'll be checked.
-
Liverpool still 5/6 to win, but it's been a great effort by Luton.
-
Possibly the best chance of the match there.
