It's disgusting like
-
I'll always look back on him as an excellent keeper for us, some truly great performances including a great cup final performance. But his decline is so bad and so fast that the longer it goes on that he keeps getting games and dropping clangers that's all people will remember, I think it's important for his legacy here that he moves on this summer.
-
If we start the season with Elanga/Murphy on the wing and or Dan Burn at left back, and or Nick Pope in goal, then for me that means lessons haven't been learned.
-
The first rejection As has been said maybe we weren't THAT interested. But the sad truth is Brighton are probably the better prospect for talent right now, European football, a better brand of football and a clear proven path to bigger clubs if they prove themselves, rather than coming here and playing second fiddle to the likes of Jacob Murphy. We're in a bit of a sad position, we can't afford or pay the wage of elite players who would rather go to the sky 6 anyway, but also not the best option for young talent.

Based on that short video of him i think he's the best player I've ever seen.

Ewen Jaouen: £18m transfer to be completed this week (Hope/Romano)
Tiotes Witch Doctor replied to Fak's topic in Football
I'm excited about this signing, but if Pope is regularly starting games next season it'll be nothing short of negligent, think about the amount of points he alone cost us last season, it cannot go on. -
Aye it would have panned out a bit differently if we'd refused him the move I'd expect, two completely different situations.
-
Exactly, phoned it in a lot this season, body language wasnt Great either, and I'm still certain he sat down and feigned injury to come off in a game we were getting battered, I don't recall which one.
-
Have we signed his replacement yet or WAT??
-
Bound to be something weve fucked up on our side.
-
If he's staying, ability wise he's good enough to be our starting right back with someone else challenging him hopefully, but it's not the ability that's the problem is it. Not only is he extremely injury prone but it would appear he's had someone in his ear, will we get his best next season?
-
Why did we vote for SCR when out of the two PSR sounds slightly less evil to me, not that I'm attuned well to financial matters.
-
I know it's a bit tricky to work out these days especially considering the change to SCR from PSR, but does anyone have a rough estimate of how much money we'll have this summer after selling Gordon? I've heard some people say we've got loads but also others saying we've got practically nothing.
-
I wonder who Howe and his nephew will be looking at as a replacement.
-
He's not interested in doing that for us anymore though, seems to think he's above it, he even alluded to that himself. Can't wait to see the back him.
-
It's just brain-dead to release something like that because if it's remotely nice our fanbase will buy the shit out of it.
-
That really is all kinds of horrible isn't it
-
He'd be mental not to.
-
On the question of Howe keeping us up, I wouldn't try to rewrite history on that one, yes we made some very good signings but I'm certain he would have had heavy input on those signings and as much as I think he's run his course here you cant deny that fuck you mentality he created in the first couple of years, we were mean, we were shithouses and we never gave up, to instill that culture after what came before it must have took some doing and he will always deserve credit for that IMO.
-
Unless there's serious plans for serious talented incomings we cannot sell Barnes, his goals might keep us up next season.
-
Iraola sitting there with no current next job on an 18 game unbeaten run at a club with far less resources than our own after having half his squad taken off him. That's absolutely where we should be looking.

Lewis Miley: signs six-year contract extension (Official)
Tiotes Witch Doctor replied to Ronson333's topic in Football
A no brainer really, that lad has bags of talent and will only get better. Concerned about his injury record but he's young and hopefully he'll put that to bed. Positive in a sea of negatives 👍 -
It's alright saying well if he doesn't turn it around the Howe outers will have their wish by Xmas etc... it's not that simple, that's another transfer window potentially wasted on Howe players for a Howe system (whatever that is these days) with another half a season written off because of sentiment, because that's mostly what it is at this point. Last summer's failure has already set us back horribly IMO, another one like that could take years to recover from, and the pool of talented managers won't go anywhere near it, or at least will be reluctant to do so.
-
I honestly don't think we'll have that problem, but it's a very good point, continuous cycle and never evolving. Sometimes it feels like we're too shy to demand better, we keep ourselves in the box that that the sky 6 want us to be in.
-
Can't wait to see the back of him, but also think he's probably our best player, basically similar to what the Everton fans said when they chased him out of town.
