Another week of "putting it right"

I wish we'd had 250 million to spend in summer....

We haven't been dreadful, but it's been flat and unimaginative and Bournemouth turning the screw a bit now.

Could have stubbed his toe and still would have wanted the day off the little greasy cunt.

Keeping himself fresh for the W.C and his big move and avoiding any scrutiny that might come his way at SJP. Hopefully his last game here.

I must admit it has looked that way hasn't it, but there's not really been many examples of him getting much of a chance. Before he came here he seemed absolutely desperate to get going and give his all, I don't understand where that enthusiasm went.

Might not have specifically pushed for the move but he certainly isn't interested in putting the effort in on the pitch.

He's not that player anymore though, he's been phoning it in for over a year now. He thinks he's too good to be here and that shows in his effort levels on the pitch, Gordon plays for Gordon only.

We're 14th in the league and we've lost 14 games this season, personally I'm happy to roll the dice on someone else if he goes.

He hasn't really had the chance to try and prove himself when you think about it, mainly due to Howes obsession with Gordon, and obviously now Osula getting minutes too.

Don't worry we'll get someone else to take the penalties.

I don't care what he's says about his game developing beyond the pressing, chasing style he had when he started here, that was him at his best for us, he's now either a below average striker or an average winger, he's not a good finisher and not particularly great at getting the ball in the box, the guy well and truly thinks he's something special, Gordon plays for Gordon and I wouldn't bat an eye if he goes provided we get a good fee of 70 mil plus.

Genuine question, is there any precedent here with managers finishing 13-15th after spending a lot of money on a squad then coming back stronger the next season and finishing top 6/winning a trophy? I'm aware we live in an age where managers are sacked very quickly.

Doesn't help him when 2 of our next 3 games are our bogey teams and one is Arsenal away 😬

It would be ignorant to suggest there wasnt some factors out of his control, nobody is saying absolutely everything is his fault, but in terms of the players one of his strengths is getting the best out of players and having a team perform better than the sum of it's parts, he's even failing on that front, we're sitting 14th with 14 losses with no signs of improvement.

I just think the implications of what we've seen this season will intermittently come back to haunt us if he stays, he's shown huge tactical naivety and a complete inability to adapt to different situations, I really think he's taken us as far as he can, and the comparisons to what Bournemouth fans have said about his last season there are striking.

I don't see many people downplay his achievements, what he's done for us is tremendous, and I hope it doesn't get nasty for him I really do, but this isn't just a bad patch or a few mistakes it's 45-50 games of problems not being resolved, and if you watch his NUFCTV interview despite him clearly being desperate to turn it around he still doesn't sound like he knows why it's happening or Indeed how to fix it. We've really got fans saying we won't have Europe next season so he should do better, which is a minnows mentality in itself, what happens when we get back into Europe? Him and his nephew have already wasted a fortune and people seem to think letting him do it again is going to suddenly turn our fortunes around next season when he's now shown a consistent inability to adapt.
