Never even given a chance for us yet people write him off, the state the club was in at the time aswell there wasn't really anyone playing particularly well. Think he could do a job in the first team, can't do much worse than Cisse is ATM.
-
Thought he was poor yesterday, awful on the left side and rather than making the simple pass he attempted to beat 2-3 players every time, and failing... every time. Doesn't have the consistency to be considered anything more than mercurial.

They were all horrendous, I can't think of one player who had a good game, special mentions have to go to Harper and Gutierrez though, Harper was woeful in all aspects, trying to take on players in his own box, horrible kicking and passing out from the back and, should have had Cleverleys cross come shot covered by being positioned correctly. What narked me about Gutierrez was for the Evra goal he seen the run of Evra, then proceeded to point... to whom I'm not sure of to track the run, while doing absolutely nothing about it himself which led to Evra having a free run into the box. Shambolic.

United vs Manchester - Sunday 7th October @ 4pm (live on Sky)

Can see us matching them till late on, 1-1 or possibly 0-0 till the last quarter of play then they'll score a ridiculously offside goal or from a free kick that shouldn't have been given. -

I get the impression most of the good players stuck around because they thought we would strengthen the team and kick on from what we achieved last season, I would imagine some of them being disillusioned by the window and possibly looking at the exit door in January or next summer. Think about it, your a talented player in demand with bigger, spending clubs with more ambition with no real ties to NUFC, why wouldn't you leave for a club showing more ambition to win something and not to mention a hefty pay increase, without sounding like the usual media arseholes, I really do think we'll lose at least one "key" player in January. -

If that does happen pray to the heavens above it does not come in the league fixture after this one. Thank god there's a 2 week gap between the "United" game and the mackem one, hopefully enough time for all of the injured players to make a full recovery. -

Not meaning to sound too negative, but if we're all honest a hammering has been on the cards since day 1 this season, some last ditch defending, luck and great forward play from Demba has saved us so many times, I think this might be the game it crumbles and we get an absolute pasting. I of course by no means want to see this happen but it could be exactly what we might need for Pardew to take some action regarding personnel, tactics and team selections and might give the boys in charge some idea of exactly why it was such a cock up that we didn't bring in more cover in the window. The longer this season goes on the more pissed off I'm getting with players lackluster performances, naive tactics and the fact we didn't strengthen at all in the summer. -
Big cocks is the answer.

Thought he was awful against Norwich, shots were horrible and passing was erratic, need more from him if are to progress, the main problem this season is players have came back looking half arsed and lazy, not sure why, the questionable tactics haven't helped though. But Cisse, Cabaye, S.Taylor and Gutierrez in particular have looked very poor IMO. -

Marítimo vs Newcastle (20/09/12) 6pm KO - Live on ESPN
Tiotes Witch Doctor replied to ponsaelius's topic in Football
Think the team will be: Elliot Anita Tavernier Williamson Santon Obertan Bigirimana Gosling Amalfitano Sammy Shola Not sure on formation but that will be the team IMO, surely we can't risk Harper, we need him for the league with Krul being out, and Harper is definitely the lesser of two evils. -
Vurnon Anita (now playing for RKC Waalwijk)
Tiotes Witch Doctor replied to ponsaelius's topic in Football
My small complaint about him would be that he doesn't often look for the short pass when playing fullback and tends to do a Simpson and hoof it forward, albeit with more accuracy and pace mind, but humping it forward nonetheless. in DM he seems like he likes a quick tempo game, which we haven't been playing so far this season, we are yet to find our rhythm across midfield. Need Tiote. -
Without putting a downer on things though, I reckon if he keeps playing the way he has so far this season sooner or later a Man U or a Chelsea will come in and snatch him, I expect we'll make a mint on the deal but I can't see him wanting to stay if the big boys come in, seems an ambitious kind of player and probably sees us as a stepping stone.

Steve never mentioned Cabaye (or any player) in his tweets, everyone has just presumed he is talking about Cabaye I haven't seen any of it just assumed it would be about Cabaye, who has been utter dogshit in the opening games. (just read the twitter thread) reckon there will be an element of truth to it tbh, would probably trust Wraith more than that stupid twat Ryder but hes questionable also. -

May be Giggs but has anyone seen what Steve Wraith has been saying about him on twitter, and subsequent tweets from NUFCofficial about it? -
RTG-tastic this latest exchange. That's "tastic" not "spastic"

Europa League 2012/13 - Benfica 1 - 2 Chelsea
Tiotes Witch Doctor replied to MKSC's topic in Football
Got a mate whos found cheap accommodation and travel to Brugge, but I've never been to an away European game before, how easy are the tickets to acquire? It's not a loyalty points thing is it, because I'll be fucked. -
Nail your colours to the mast - where will we finish?
Tiotes Witch Doctor replied to Dave's topic in Football
We're going to do so badly that we don't even finish within the conventional league table and win the scottish premier league as punishment. -
Terrible game but not as bad as Simpson and I don't care if he did score a goal off someones arse, but Vuckic was dreadful aswell, too slow to make it in the big leagues.

Would be weird as fuck seeing Carroll back in our colours. Still can't see it happening for a single second.
