Newcastle United promoted back to the Premier League

On the plus side I think we were still pretty close to third at this point last time too, however we went 17 games unbeaten till the end of the season from game 29, we're actually on course to do similar already being unbeaten in 5. Edit: It's actually 6 games unbeaten. -
For the first time in a while I think I'd rather see Perez start over Diame in number 10, hes been steadily improving recently, and I'm not a Perez fan at all really. Would happily see Diame alongside Shelvey though, not very defensive but for what Colback actually offers in that role Diame may aswell play there.

Was wondering how long that would take

None of his other goals count either cos they weren't 40 yard screamers.

Brighton, Huddersfield, Reading away off the spin. Makes the games before that bit more edgy. Then again I'm happier away from home at the minute. Think we'll beat Brighton and Reading just got a feeling it will be Hudds we will struggle against. Definitely on playing them away though, much better for us and much more confident than I would be at SJP. -

Scary to think a 2-3 game bad run could see us drop to third. -
Wonder if he'll score the winner tonight like last week, or assist the winner like the week before? Hmm.

Yeah I definitely don't think its instrution, more the fact he needs about 3 touches just to get the ball under control and panics and boots it forward.

Because the board didn't back him for a central midfielder in the transfer window. and before the transfer window ? He's probably aimed for a bit blend and hoped he'd be ok at this level. Also he's played Hayden when fully fit more often lately with only his injury let Colback having another run in the team. Can't think of any other CM's at the club (?) Tiote he clearly wanted to offload. Saviet is possibly the only one you might've thought would've replaced him. At this level Anita ? Nope I'm afraid not I think he'd struggle like Perez does centrally. Remember he was probably one of our best/most consistent players at RB also until his injury. You jest, he'd struggle in place of Colback ?, also one of our better players on the ball. In this division playing that role he doesn't have to get about like he was asked when playing in the middle in the prem, could play Diame there. In short I don't think 4-2-3-1 gets the best from what we have in this divison (you may have guessed), strange how Perez looked more than OK up front in a better division, drop him back, turn him towards his own goal and he;s not as good, who'd have thought ? Sadly I've seen Colback had more successful games in CM than Anita ever has in both their time here. And for the record I really dislike Colback and really like Anita. Anita is best suited to RB so keep him there and let him learn the position further. Colback just needs replaced which Rafa knows but his hands are tied. Don't forget Anita is out for the season so although it could've been trialled it ain't happening now. Last season I thought Anita was frequently better than Colback, even had a few MOTM worthy performances Liverpool at home being an example, they were just dreadful together as Anita is a below average CM at prem level and Colback is a below average pile of horse shit.

Darlow Yedlin Lascelles Clark Dummett Ritchie Shelvey Hayden Atsu Diame Gayle plz Rafa. -
Lack of other options really, if Hayden had shown his best side consistently Colback wouldn't get a look in.

Match winner.

No way would I be roped in to this, there's a very real possibility it will be business as usual next season with Rafa gone and a yes man in charge with a load of lovely new Carr signings and a battle for 17th. They probably know this and are thinking ahead.

Hes definitely not a bad defender at all, and happy to see him stay if we go up but not as first choice, we need someone who is comfortable on the ball and can at least offer SOMETHING going forward.

Even if we could there would be no point anyway.
