Can make a sub Pards?
-
He's carried almost the entire team Been really good. He seems to get Toite doing the simple stuff again instead of this Hollywood stuff
-
Is Simpson our best defender now?
-
Aah yes, I heard his name pronounced on the radio as 'Daveedey' instead of Daveed (as in Ginola). If it is Daveedy, then it would go very well as That's Daveedeyyy... Apologies for how this must look, but getting it to fit is important. I've heard it pronounced on the radio as David. So I think it's alright to call him whatever fits best.

We should play against ten men more often. Seems to bring out the best in a lot of players.

Fuck's sake. About all I care to contribute on NUFC atm.

Thought reading this thread was going to depress me. Anything but.

There's no one in the world who wanted three extra minutes of this shit. Referee must be sick of his life.

This isn't being shown outside the north east is it? The performance, the chants, the twats in fancy dress, the commentary. Just been a cringe from first to last.

What a fucking joke.

Had days at work go quicker than this match.

No use bemoaning him playing tonight. Could easily have pulled up in training. If he'd had a stormer and was full of confidence for Sunday then everything would have been rosy. Lets just all pray. Pray for Ben Arfa.
-
Yep, two or three times I've read that now in the locals. Good to see Ben Arfa trotting out some nothing response when he could have publically criticised the tactics. Happy enough for the media to come out with it but would rather the team kept any issues in-house.

The URLs for news stories are always better than the headlines themselves. I thought Jen Chang had sacked Liverpool. Whether it was the football team or the entire city I wasn't sure. Just yesterday there was one that had me thinking Simpson had Tulisa up the duff (there's definitely some Simpson/Duff Beer joke there somewhere).

I get people applauding the technique/ability but I don't buy into the whole improvisation/creativity/audacious thing. The keepers just headed you the ball, first instinct is to try and hit the unguarded net. I'm sure anyone in that position would have saw the same opportunity but reasoned that there's no way they can get their leg that high.

Listening to the radio on the way home and it said "they were spotted on a date." If so, that date is truely tragic.

I'm waiting to see how long it takes someone to mention Hayden Mullins. That someone being yourself?
-
Class. Just found myself singing it aloud to try and get the tune right. Thank fuck I'm working by myself today.
-
Similar note, people using that awful "form is temporary, class is permanent" shit at times like these.

Exactly i don't even think it was that great of a goal and further more we should have dealt with it. Cabayes was miles better, the build up, Ben Arfa's run and cross and Cabaye's excellent finish it shits all over it IMO. On SSN, "don't care how many good goals we see this season, that will be goal of the season." Wasn't even goal of the match. Never known such hyperbole for a goal before.

We would have lost if he wasn't utterly shit.
-
Sterling is quickly becoming one of my least favourite players. Gets so much praise and gets away with so much shit.
-
Overriding memory - when he caught that bird.

About sums it up, when he came in and tore the league up we was consistently creating chances every game at the moment we are struggling to create. 15 goals in 14 games in all comps is something we need to improve on. I'm not sure that excuse can bet trotted out again after Ferguson put it on a plate for him in the first half. Even then, last season he only needed a half chance to score a wonder goal. He's low on confidence, not sure why, but he is. Nah not tonight he should have scored tonight. I was talking about in general he has not had many chances to feed on compared to when he joined. It's obvious he's low on confidence as well. Fair enough I guess. I'm still not sure I agree we created much more last season. We had Ba being very clinical in the first half of the season, than Cisse in the second half. We didn't create boatloads as I can't recall them missing that many. Ba went through a similar patch and is back to full confidence and his goalscoring has returned; I'm sure Papiss will be the same. I wish they could both score at the same time though. Maybe i exaggerated but i do feel we created more in the stage when he arrived and the last game of the season.... despite the fact Cisse was clinical i remember missing a fair few chances as ridiculous as that sounds. Yh i'm not worried about Cisse he will be back like Ba but i do feel we need to be creating more chances as i said the goal return is not really good enough and i think that has something to do with chance creation or lack of it. Would be great if both of them could score at same time although the world would probably end List them.
