  1. Rompe isn't looking for balance, his aim is to pick out the extreme of a post and run with that. Twist it to fit his narrative. Nothing to see here apart from a terrible wum. My "narrative" is simply that Saudi Arabia is a horrible regime, and I want them nowhere near NUFC. That's how i genuinely feel about the matter, and I'm not trying to wind up anyone. Are there other horrible regimes? Yes. Is Qatar horrible? Yes, and I was against them buying Man City (PSG, lol). Does that make Saudi Arabia any less bad? No. If the takeover goes through we will always be associated with Saudi Arabia, and I would absolutely hate that. I could go into detail as to why I dislike Saudi Arabia so much, but I won't bother, I've written too much about the matter as is, imo.
  2. Why do you not go and support another club then, as the only thing I have seen you contribute on within the footballing part of the forum is the takeover and your anti-thoughts on it. Do you have to support the takeover to support the club now? That seems to be the consensus on here anyway.
  3. I get it guys! She wasn't his wife, only his fiancee, that's not of any relevance to the point I was making, but well done lads!
  4. This is it for me, no doubting the outcome (State ordered hit which wasn’t as clean as they’d hoped) but what led to this situation will never be made clear. Khashoggi certainly wasn’t a just a civilian, he had far too many dealings with the royal family and terrorist organisations to be whiter than white. As for her, no idea. She comes across fake and paid for by Qatar and she makes it easy for people to target her as such with interviews like this where she seems to know and care nothing about him, but fully versed in why the takeover shouldn’t happen. What makes me think is if SA needed him on Saudi soil/embassy then how do they make him. What would make him go there? Not many options, apart from the one he went for. Was that planned? Make him quickly fall in love. Wouldn’t be that much of a surprise twist in all this. But that said if she was involved I’m sure it would have been leaked to discredit her, I also think if there was the slightest evidence pointing to this, even though she didn’t, they have leaked that also. So all that leads me back to she’s just unfortunately met someone with a dodgy past which caught up with him and now she, just like NUFC is caught up in this political storm and her crusade for justice for him has turned in to something else driven by Qatar. No way all this is off her own back. Could she be upset that her husband was murdered in a gruesome fashion, and then cut up in pieces? Not it has to be Qatar, no doubt about it. She is nothing but a pawn. Bonkers. She's not his widow, she wasn't his wife. Thry knew each other as long as this takeover has gone on, so no surprise she has nothing to say about him and everything to say about nufc. I've remained open minded on her, he however was a terrorist sympathiser, who would have thought the US deserved 9/11 more than anyone you are trying to pick arguments with. Right, Khashoggi evil, Saudi Arabia good. Got it. Good, now fuck off you Qatari bot. Everyone critical of Saudi Arabia is of course a Qatari bot, as the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has done no evil in it's history. The defense of Saudi Arabia is really bizarre, I hoped that the fans would be capable of being critical and/or reflected regarding this takeover and Saudi Arabia, but that has proven to be a hopelessly naive thought.

  6. So we've earlier turned against Amnesty, now it's come to smearing Khashoggi and his wife. And thats before they've even taken over. Wonder what is next? USA deserved 9/11? Bin Laden was an upstanding citizen and a courageous freedom fighter? All those Yemeni children deserved to die? People have gone completely mad, and it's as bizarre as it is tragic. Oh please......... the whole reason people are up in arms is because for 14 weeks, everyone continues to throw shit at us. Its only natural that people object and start to fight back. Bring on the Saudis ownership, hope they are so pissed off they go all out to make NUFC a success. Will I think about piracy, Amnesta or Cengiz whilst I am enjoying the success.......no but then again I didn't think about it before the take over. Its for the Government to sort out with their counterparts in KSA, nothing to do with football! To attack a widow and accuse her of being a Qatari pawn isn't natural in any way. It's completely delusional, and shows how far people on here are willing to bend to defend one of the worst regimes on this planet.
  7. Sorry that i haven't yet drunk the Saudi kool-aid. Maybe when we buy Gareth Bale and Coutinho I too will start defending Saudi Arabia, and defaming Khashoggi and his widow.

  10. More likely he is updating his death list, reading reports about the spread of wahabism and looking at pictures of dead yemeni children, the fucking cunt.
  11. UAE against Saudi Arabia, who will earn the bragging rights in the gulf? Tune in to Bein or Beout to find out.
  12. Wasn't there something that happened in september 2001 or something? 11 Saudis flew an airplane into some skyscrapers in the USA. Terrible accident. The Saudis actually crack down pretty hard on terrorists, if they didn't you can bet their western collaborating regime would have been overthrown years ago by the fundamentalists. They're a monarchy, I don't get your point. The monarchy would have been overthrown by the terrorists if the fundamentalists were allowed free voice. Do you mean that the repression of free speech in Saudi Arabia makes it harder for terrorists to organize? I'm not sure I follow... The fact of the matter is that 15 of the hijackers in the 9/11 attacks was Saudi, and the Saudi played a huge part in covering up facts in the investigations that followed. Not too sure I'd call that cracking down hard on terrorists. Anyway: Remember when Saudi Arabia threatened Canada on twitter with an image that is eerily similar to a 9/11 style attack? https://www.businessinsider.com/saudi-arabia-appeared-to-threaten-canada-with-a-911-style-attack-2018-8?op=1&r=US&IR=T That sure was a laugh.

  15. https://www.classicfootballshirts.co.uk/2002-03-newcastle-home-l-s-shirt-mcmenamin-37-very-good-xl.html This has to be the most random NUFC related thing I have ever seen. He never even made an appearance for us.
  16. Is everyone who dares criticize Saudi Arabia going to get the same scrutiny as Amnesty on here? Can't believe what I'm seeing.
  17. Rompe

Agreed. Very poor taste I thought and I'm a big fan of his. Come on now, they're going to be linked with us for as long as they are owning the club. I think the cartoon does a great job highlighting it. For millions of people the first thing they now think of when Newcastle gets mentioned is Saudi Arabia.
  18. The fit and proper persons test isn't about preventing bad people from owning clubs, it's about preventing financially dubious people from taking over clubs and destroying them. I doubt it would be legal to try and prevent the sale of a club based on the politics of the people buying, unless the government was leading the way, and they can't say "you can invest in anything you want lads, apart from football clubs". Surely it's up to the Premier League to sort out the rules for ownership of the clubs, though?. This shouldn't be happening, and it shouldn't have happened to Chelsea or Man City. Would be all for the government saying that foreign countries can't invest in english clubs, or at least get some control of the league.
  19. This takeover shouldn't be allowed under any circumstance, ff these tyrants are "fit and proper" then who the fuck isn't? The cat's already out of the bag though, this mess should've been dealt with back when Abramovich bought Chelsea, or when City got bought. It's all too late now, I guess, which is a shame really.
  20. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-52308344 https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2020/04/saudi-activists-dispute-official-narrative-hwaiti-killing-200417103626920.html https://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-52326130 https://www.theguardian.com/business/2020/apr/14/bae-systems-sold-15bn-arms-to-saudis-during-yemen-assault Yup, aware of all of that. Still doesn't detract from my point. All those are from this month they aren't looking to change man. Change doesn't come overnight though does it? It's going to be a slow process. No it does not but I'll wait till they've stopped murdering people before I think they are on any path to redemption. You'll be hard pressed to find any country on the geo-political stage that doesn't have people murdered. They were just stupid enough to get caught! Can people just stop with this line of reasoning? Yes there are other countries in the world who are horrible, none of them are buying us. in fact I can't recall another club being owned by a foreign country at all, so it is completely irrelevant.
  21. I see a lot of our supporters are already doing Saudi Arabias bidding on here and on twitter. "What about the USA?" "How can you criticize Saudi Arabia when x and y, and this and that? "Saudi Arabia isn't that bad anyway, look at any other country on earth and you will find dirt if you dig enough" "Are they really any worse than owner x of club y?" This type of rhetoric is exactly what they want, now they got thousands and thousands of fans willing to relativize Saudi Arabias crimes.
  22. The notion that you can't be critical of anything, unless everything you do is "pure" is absolutely ridiculous. By all means it's a compliated issue yes, but that line of reasoning is very weak.
  23. Is there even any point in firing Bruce until we know how/if the season will play out? Just let Bruce finish this season, and then it's farewell and good riddance.
  24. I don't give a shite about human rights abuses within the context of a sport Thanks bud. Good to get the moral depravity out in the open. You have no idea of my moral depravity. Keep virtue signalling though, you pure sainted man, sure that'll stop the bombs. You won't support the propaganda vehicle of a murderous, theocratic, terrorism-sponsoring regime? What a lily-livered virtue-signaller you are! Got anything made in China in your house? Got a car? Eat chicken? You turn a blind eye to abuses all the time, every day. Get tae fuck with this holier than thou bullshit. It's a football club. Politics is sorted at the ballot box, not on the pitch.
