It's all so tiresome.
-
Yeah, I mean seeing journalists and other idiots going "well actually Sterlings dive was a stonewall pen and it was the danish team who should have their goal disallowed" all over twitter is just so tiresome. People actually believe that the free kick should be disallowed on a technicality which has never before in the history of the game resulted in a disallowed goal. Just look at Luke Edwards latest drivel.

I think it's really cute that you think you (England) are any better than Italy in terms of sportsmanship. You're not.
-
Wow what a bunch of cunts, that's actually a lot worse than Sterling and Kanes relentless diving. Great point!
-
Sorry, sorry! It's clever when english players does it, not diving. My bad! I meant most clever.
-
As a neutral I think Harry Kane has to be the most annoying player in this tournament, my god he goes down so easy. A diving masterclass today.

And yet they still have knockout competitions, where Nadal, Djokovic and Federer can be eliminated. They should instead take the top 10 seeded as of right now, and let them play eachother in a super league for the rest of eternity. Would improve viewership by the tenfolds. I see no potential downside to this arrangement.

Luuk de Jong wins a penalty for Sevilla!
-
Thought he played really well, at least for periods of time, while Rafa was manager. He seems to have completely fallen off now though. He seems to be reliant on having teammates who actually make decent runs in a team that has some attacking intent or at the very least a plan going forward.
-
Would have one of the Longstaffs in, but otherwise a decent lineup imo.
-
Thought he defended good last night, actually, especially in the first half. Tierney rarely got past him.

https://www.theguardian.com/football/2021/jan/05/lump-on-if-you-want-kieran-trippier-message-to-friend-before-atletico-madrid-move-fa 10 weeks for telling his friends he was signing for Atletico Madrid... The FA really are on its knees for the bookmakers, guess that's where the money is.

Excited for this one!

He was poor before Hayden went off Don't think he was particularly worse than anyone else, but thats not my point either. A midfield three of Shelvey, Hendrik and Schar is just stupid, and we were much worse after Hayden went off.
-
Our midfield was never gonna work after Schär replaced Hayden, hardly Shelveys fault.

But surely Solskjær should be doing better with what he's got? You've been dreadful against Crystal Palace and Brighton both. He should absolutely be doing better, but it's still early days in the season. I wouldn't be jumping on his back after 2/3 bad results. That's fair. You're playing us next, bound to be the match where everything comes together for you.

Joan Edmundsson scored in the Bundesliga the other day. Makes me wonder what Frank Wiafe Danquah and Fabio Zamblera is up to these day, not to mention Samuel Adjei

Jonjo proving eveyone wrong, AGAIN!!!
-
They look so much better than us. Never in a million years could we do that sequence of passing they just did in that attack.
-
But why should they, unless the celebrations are excessively long? There were 30 seconds left of stoppage time when March scored, why add anoter two minutes on top of that?
-
Don't really understand why the ref decided to add two more minutes to play after Brightons goal.

Another tactical masterclass from Ole

Mitrovic scored again tonight. Only 4 goals away from being the top goalscorer of all time for Serbia.

https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11678/12051917/newcastle-takeover-premier-league-chief-richard-masters-to-face-fan-questions Interesting that according to Masters, the dispute was about who would effectively be controlling NUFC. I think you have to be very naïve to believe the consortiums claim that they would have zero influence over the running of the club. "Masters says the Premier League asked for "additional information, which would have been used to consider" any potential disqualification, but the consortium disagreed with their assessment and withdrew their bid." So is this what it's about? The consortium didn't agree that Saudi Arabia would effectively own NUFC, and thus didn't give the PL the information they asked for.
