Better than poch. Has done better with a worse squad, as some would have you believe. No he hasn't I know.

Try comparing what Poch has done for Tottenham and what Solskjær has done for Man U (as a manager), and you'll see the point.

https://www.transfermarkt.com/premier-league/jahrestabelle/wettbewerb/GB1/saison_id/2019 They are behind us in 2019 table and +30 league games could be considered a pretty long time in modern football. Well behind Ole who everyone loves to laugh at. Exactly Wasn't there a Champions League final, or have I gone completely mad? Yes his greatest achievement is best loser. While Solskjær has won Tippeligaen and got relegated with Cardiff. Some credentials that.

Well behind Ole who everyone loves to laugh at. A whopping 7 points behind Ole. They're 6th now for what it's worth, Poch finished in the top 4 in four of the last five seasons, after only doing so twice in the last 22 seasons before he arrived. Comparing him to Solskjær is ridiculous, Solskjær has done absolutely nothing compared to Poch.

I was under the impression that they have play-offs in the WC qualifications in both Asia and Oceania, so that the best sides seldom play the weakest sides, but I see now that Japan, Korea etc is already involved in the second round of that play-off. I'll admit to primarily thinking of South America, for which my point is definitely true. The weakest team in the last qualification was Venezuela, and they would wipe the floor with Lithuania, Estonia, Andorra etc.
-
There are so many weak sides in Europe though. Easier to score boatloads of goals against Lithuania, Latvia, Luxembourg, Andorra etc than it is against the weaker sides in other confederations.

7 goals away from being Serbias all time top scorer

Who was the last Newcastle player to score for England? Carroll?
-
Same happened when they played Manchester United. Twice.

Incredible quote Especially if the said player is at the end end of his career If he's a young lad with a sell on value then that's a different matter altogether though Think it’s more to do with the fact that as a result of the stupidity, he’s unable to do his job and what he’s paid to do, whereas the others are still doing what they’re paid to. The problem with that logic is that it makes it ok to drink and drive as long as you don't get injured. They did this purely to save money.

Can they really just terminate his contract for not taking a pay cut?

Presume you mean Watford? Was a clear penalty, VAR is horrendous Yeah, Watford of course!
-
Tottenham denied an absolute stonewall penalty. Seems like the only purpose of VAR is to annoy people.

This is 100% right, so why does the manager who's only had 1 transfer window get all the blame? Maguire, James and Wan-Bissaka, the three players he signed in said window, are currently our three best performers. Fergie in his pomp would struggle with that side yesterday. Didn't Mourinho finish second with almost exactly the same squad?
-
While that was another disgrace of a performance yesterday, we are missing Martial, Pogba, Lingard, Shaw, Lindelof, Bailly, Jones and Wan Bissaka. That's basically half the first team squad and two more players who would have played yesterday instead of Rojo or Tuanzebe given the injuries. Rashford is also carrying an injury and having to play due to how short we are. He's lost a lot of pace in recent weeks. The squad is in awful shape at the moment. There aren't many managers who could do better. The only thing grating me now is Ole's interviews. He'll flat out refuse to criticise the team. Everything is "we were unlucky" or "that was a good performance." It's a stark contrast to his press work when he was caretaker manager. I kinda struggle to see any manager in the PL who would do substantially worse than Solskjær at this point. Your squad isn't particularly good, but it isn't horrible either. It's becoming more and more obvious that he is out of his depth in the Premier League.
-
I think it's ridiculous that anyone can't see that Solskjær is ridiculously out of his depth at this level. He was at Cardiff, and he is now at Manchester United. Can't wait for him to get sacked, and I really really hope we beat them tomorrow. Also, Solskjær did good at Molde, but he was heavily backed and inherited one of the best squads in the league. Hardly a miracle worker.
-
The main criticism I would put forward about his time at Cardiff is the absolute rubbish players he signed. Jo Inge Berget, Mats Møller Dæhli and Magnus Wolff Eikrem in the Premier League? Absolutely ridiculous. Then again they weren't really signed to improve the team, they were signed to make money for Jim Solbakken, ugly stuff really. Only reason he isn't pulling the same shit now is he knows he'd never get away with it.

Hugo Lloris at it again

What a bizarre post

Owen doesn't deserve to be named in the same sentence as Shearer.

Wouldn't say it's a different discussion since it's almost definitely the reason it wasn't given IMO. Many penalties are denied on the basis of "he was looking for it". But a foul is a foul, wouldn't you agree? Whether the player is looking for it should be irrelevant as long as he is in fact fouled. Kane was looking for it, but he was hindered by Lascelles who didn't try to play the ball. In my eyes that's a penalty.
-
Lascelles was nowhere near the ball and quite clearly impeded Kane. Whether or not Kane was looking for it is a different discussion. Should've been a penalty, but we got lucky today.
