I thought the bad injury he suffered was going to effect his development, but nah.

Howay there's no comparison in pressure between Everton (especially as they were then, shit for years) and Man Utd. There is a comparison, different kinds of pressure but I'm just responding to a claim that he's never had to deal with it. Bit like saying I had a bit of pressure in my job last week so I could cope with being Prime Minister, no bother. Is your current job in politics? Or anywhere near that field? Just daft to bring the discussion to that.

Do you think they'll finish top 4? I know they will. Everton and Man U are two completely different teams, with completely different calibre of players, who have completely different expectations. The way Moyes trains and communicates with th eplayers at Everton will not fly with the bunch he has now. I honestly don't think he gets this, and he's stubborn as hell too. The way I see it top 6 would be impressive. Top 4 is long gone. How do we know he hasn't changed his approach?

Moyes has dealt with pressure well in the past. From relegation candidates one year to Champions League the next. Dealt well with it there. Incredibly knee jerk to me to suggest they will not finish in the top 4. He will get it right this year, long term not a clue.
-
I think this too, he'll get it right. I don't tbh. The Fellaini sigining is exactly why he shouldn't be their manager. He's more a Pardew type than a Ferguson when it comes to football philosophies. Everton played some good football at times. He mixed it up with them, like he had to.

I think this too, he'll get it right. It was never going to be as easy as taking the title winning team and keeping the same formula and expecting results to stay the same. It's a huge job to take on, long term I don't know if he will get it right but I do think they are challengers this season. Lot of concern over their issues in the summer at bringing in bodies. Can't see Ferguson coming back at all myself.

Me too, but we could do better. Really? Who else has ran a team on a budget and had them consistently around the European places? The job he did at Everton was fantastic, right now that kind of success and longevity is light years away from us.
-
Moyes will get them there or thereabouts for the title. He'll get a fair bit time too.
-
He hardly sucks like. It's a bedding in period, whoever stepped in would have came across similar results. It's always going to be a drastic change for everyone when the previous boss lasted 26 years. He'll do alright, he's being saved by City being a little inconsistent too, and Spurs will fizzle out.

Footballers aren't robots, they want to win so sometimes their passion will come across, either in a positive way or negative. As long as it isn't over the top, it's good to see a player cares for the cause.

Well, that's our League Cup run over.

Was going to watch this last night then didn't bother, as I alway end up believing he can better himself only for him to let himself down and those close to him. I hope he turns his life around. Best of British to him.

You have to be flexible and adapt your approach to each group you work with. Di Canio is far too pig-headed to do this. He might be able to intimidate players in the lower leagues but the top level has a lot more egos.
-
His approach may have moderate success in the lower leagues but no chance it will work in the top divisions. Far too many egos to be damaged to adopt an approach like that. They moved swiftly to remove him from his position, but they had little other option. He kept them up last year, but you could also argue so did other teams by being really awful.
-
Well on SSN, SunderLOL are saying there is no shortlist yet for the next poor b*****d, so maybe something like that has happened if he's been sacked last night, without a replacement lined-up... especially when one of yesterdays papers claimed he had two league games to try turn it around, or at least stop the rot. News will probably break of it shortly as Sunderland have no reason to protect Di Canio.

How come no one ever thinks to take a picture?

Was about to post this As the guy who's supposed to be high up in an organisation...he really should be aware of these type of situations Who wears camouflage pants to watch the football? Looks like father and son tbh. An unhinged psychopath would.

That's what she said.

No big loss as M'Biwa and Colo should have more time as a pairing and I dont totally trust Pardew to not just throw Taylor right back in. Would be canny if he could stay fit as he is half decent as an option.
-
I've got zero confidence in him starting games now. Decent as a sub.
-
I'd forgotten they had sold Sessegnon to WBA. Bizarre switch.
-
He's in the team to score goals, he isn't. We haven't got any real competition for his position, I think he's playing too comfortable. He's a man who knows he is guaranteed a starting place.
