Don't see the problem with it whatsoever. Quick walk out in front of the fans for a player who is going to be huge for us this season.
  2. Crazy when you think back to earlier in the window just how likely it looked that he'd be leaving. I think he's giving it another year, personally. Need some big performances from this man.

We have also heard that Pardew is trying similar, working more on possession and movement.

    Bafetimbi Gomis

With Pardew's comments about Remy being a similar player to Cisse, I can definitely see him being played out wide to accommodate Gomis upfront.
  5. With Suarez, the world has finally found someone who beats the scousers at whinging and moaning.
  6. I've heard he has decent coffee making skills but when it comes to closing a sale, he is poor. Mop boy at best.

Fact is, he's our manager going into the new season so we are going to have to back him. The alternative is clearly Kinnear. I am not optimistic at all for the new season, there's a clear lack of cohesion and the style of play that has been implemented in the games thus far has been bland and predictable. The squad we have here should be playing so much better, we're a top 10 side easy if they play to potential. I think yet again, we will be relying on moments of individual brilliance and a lot of luck to get us enough points on the board to stay in the division.

He does know Mr T doesn't wear those chains anymore as he felt it was insensitive to people who had nothing? I pity Tiote.
  9. I like how they mark a match report of Liverpool beating Valeranga 4-1 as an exclusive. Because nobody else, anywhere, has reported on that game.

I can see him refusing to play and going on strike quite easily. He will leave before the window closes, it just depends how long it takes for Liverpool to swallow their pride.
  11. I was wondering about this. It's really annoying me. Current top stories are Soldado, Bale, and League Cup round-up. Features quite a lot of other club news in all fairness.

    Stewart Downing

It would be stupid to value Downing based on the crazy price Dalglish paid to sign him. £5m is right for me. One good half a season in his time there. I would actually be really tempted to give a take or leave it offer of £3.5m but there will be a few clubs in for him who'd pay more.

Tarrabt is one of those players that mostly flatters to deceive in the Premiership. Can remember reading reports that QPR were asking for £15m, but when I've seen him play he's looked like he's not even worth half that. Fantastic technique, he lacks application though which is a worry as he isn't a kid anymore. He should have made a real mark by now given his ability. I think Fulham is a good move for him. Can get on with what he does away from the spotlight of QPR, Jol will get them playing well and safely midtable.

    Stewie Downie hew.

I don't actually think he's that bad a player. £5m and reasonable wages and I'd be happy.

There is plenty of young English talent coming through, a lot of rough diamonds that have to be coached well and right during their development years. And then yes, on the flipside, you have the overpriced English player like Jordan Henderson. I ultimately want what's best for NUFC but I'd love to see some real English talent come through and make a mark at this football club.

Bobby was a big advocator of home grown talent. I think there has to be a place for it. Mind, put two players in front of me and ill pick a player based on nothing but ability. It means something to see Taylor do well, in the past to see Carroll wear the number 9. Was certainly far more special than seeing Cisse for instance score a goal wearing the shirt.

Do we though? I find this line of thought quite disturbing because I think there's a large undertone of xenophobia/racism attached to it. It's good to have a few in the unlikely event that we qualify for Europe again, so we can meet the regulations and name a squad of 25.

Why did the sperm cross the road? Kinnear put the wrong socks on this morning. A-thank you and good night Newcastle-Online, you're beautiful.

    What an ugly shirt sponsor.

The rape thing still concerns me. Hope he keeps his head down while he's here as we really don't need any further negative press after the Kinnear debacle and our poor season last time out.
  23. Zabaleta is far too good for Debuchy to stand a chance of displacing him, though I do think as back-up, Debuchy is a better option than Richards. In that respect, he'd be a fool to go there as back-up. Can't see it happening.

Loan deal seems ideal. Not keen at this stage of the idea of signing him permanently with the court case hanging over him. Get that out of the way, and hopefully he'll have a fantastic year. Hopefully, it won't be a case of £1.8m or whatever down the drain if he is locked up. Bit of a gamble but we must have seeked legal advice and chances of him being acquitted must be reasonable.
