  1. Forgot what an NUFC goal felt like, feels good and nice touch that Ameobi Bros saved us. Barfas class shone through with the assists as the game opened up and superior fitness of NUFC shone through. Much better second half from everyone once Shameobi came on and the ball actually stuck up front. Elliott was excellent in goal and Dummet definately looks promising, will look forward to seeing how he fares against better opposition. Thank goodness for an actual win, albeit against Morecambe. Dirty Leeds next at SJP.
  2. Mixed up defence is weak on both sides, Marv and Buchy on the right dont seem to speak the same language and Good and Dummet look a little nervous and inexperienced but improved as the half went on, Sammy on the left best player by far and good effort from Gouff. Vuckic cant hold water, everything bounces off him and he has had an awful half. Honourable mention for Gosling, finally found something he can do well, clearances off the line. Like the look of Mbiwa at the back brtinging the ball out and avoiding another hopeless hoof and Elliott has been first class in goal. Desparate for confidence and a goal to quicken up the passing in the second half and Sameobi is the onely candidate to score. Fingers crossed for Pardew half-time team talk improvement.
  3. We have played the right way and passed well at times but we have been noverpowered by Toure in misfield time and time again and Cisse and Gouffran cannot hold anything up at all, as for vdefense, Saylor has been awful, Aguero wound him up a bit after the not handball and he tooke the bait, hook line and sinker, with 1 min left in the half. WTF we we're gonna get stuffed anyway. On a plus............still trying to think of one. Thanks NUFC for another comedy / horror show. Please Cxiteh take bit easy on us second half.......only watching to see Dummets debut....lamb to the slaughter....
  4. Beginning of the end of this comes off but theres a chance it will with all the cash Murdoch can throw at it then get back by hawking matches to any country that pays. Then again this kind of story crops up every summer doesn't it?
  5. Taking the "no smoke without fire" approach on this one, skybet suspended betting on Cabs leaving, just hope its all rubbish and he stays.
  6. But we have spanish speaking players as well and the inverted exclamation mark which is only used in spanish shows that it's clearly not an attempt at making a french banner. Aye Must have been left over from Albert Luques welcome parade
  7. Right-back has been a problem position for us, tbh. Quite interesting to see how he does there. Don't mean to suggest I want him there long-term at all, but we've been exposed on our right-flank a lot in the Europa so far. Interesting decision from Pardew tbh. Might truncate the potential of overlapping attacks on the right but maybe not a bad trade-off for a clean sheet at home O0Absolutely, Pardew being cautious, how many times has an away goal knocked us out of Europe?
  8. Radio saying Marv doesn't like playing wide so he's not playing.
  9. Unchanged side, fair enough, beat Chelse in a wonderful match, confidence is high and Spurs must play a bit like Chelsea, 1 up and midfielders coming from deep, same as Chelsea who we caught on the break magnificently 2nd half last week
  10. Saw all that and it was hilariouss, giving it the "ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, yay" as he sat down, was odd that he was the only one in fancy dress, usually theres a group of them for a stag do or something
  11. Sissoko reminded me of last season City at home and Ya Ya moving up front, same beasting sort of performance and cool finishing.
  12. he tracks back as well! i noticed he sprinted 2/3 of the pitch just to cover at one point. he was a great contributor today he was quality all round particularly breaking at pace for Sissokos first, he had a couple of shots first half from good positions, on target but powderpuff, can see him scoring but not prolifically.
  13. oops hit return before coming to the best player on the pitch, Sissoko, just a juggernaut of a midfielder who started well and just got better and better, those runs in the second half were worthy of the highest praise, playing in the hole his touch was imaculate throughout, good close control, a trick or two, vision and passing and lungbursting power runs and a finisher too. Came on the pitch at the final whistle with most of the crowd staying to sing his name as he did well deserved lap of honour with the fans lapping it up, what a player, what a game and thank god for football, NUFC and days like these.
  14. Just got back after a post match pint or two, epic game of football and NUFC deserved their win and but for Cisses finishing would have had it wrapped up by half-time. Cisse played well, worked hard, held the ball well and linked up with Sissoko superbly, was wishing him to score. Gouffran was exceptional, like a young lad said on the post match radio phone in "like obertan but with a football brain". The defence was outstanding at times, love Saylors enthusiasm, effort and commitment, Colos cool positioning, confidence and control and I thought Debuchy defended very well with Santon getting forward with real purpose. Now to the main men, Cabaye was beautiful, strutting about the midfield linking play, giving then recieving, pinging balls wide for Santon and Debuchy, like a good Q. Gutti, love him or hate him always 100% and has added ariel power to his game, he worked tirelessly closing down and overlapping with Santon and Debuchy and as usual was throwinbg himself into blocks and tackles to close out the game at the end.
  15. Perfect conditions, dry and sunny, might go without the longjohns today. Same team as Tues I reckon, I know Jonas has had a slagging but every time I watched the Villa 2nd half fightback it was Jonas with the last gasp clearances.
