  1. Will be interesting to see what his remit will be; I presume commercial, stadium, ticketing, maintenance and i presume Eales will now be the face of the club in terms of communication to fans and will represent us at PL meetings Going off what someone said before about the board i wonder what the structure is, i presume Yasir Al-Rumayyan (Chair) | Amanda Staveley, Jamie Reuben, Majed Al Sorour (Board) | Darren Eales (CEO) | Dan Ashworth (Sporting Director) Ashworth won't have had any say in Eales appointment as CEO will report to board I presume we will also hear less of Amanda Staveley & Jamie Reuben now as I presume they will now take a bit more of a back seat on the day to day running of the club
  2. Kevin Friend becomes the forth PL referee to retire, he will take up a new role as Select Group 2 Manager. Tom Bramall (Sheffield) has been promoted to Select Group 1 for 2022 along with Assistant Referee's Natalie Aspinall, Nick Greenhalgh & Steve Meredith Bobby Madley & James Bell have been promoted to Select Group 2 and will referee in the Championship
  3. More than likely as its owners and directors test and the CEO will be on the board of directors
  4. seems to all gone quiet on recruiting the new CEO
  5. NUFC fan and referee. Foul on burn not a red card for me as eyes always on ball and no on man, Shearer, Ameobi and Carroll used to do the same thibg every week to win headers. 100% penalty on murphy, can see how coote didnt give pen due to his view being obstructed by 3 players but John Brooks on VAR has massively cocked up by not sending him to monitor

    U23s & Academy

I know a lot of people talk about the need to upgrade academy facilities (which tbf are ok) but I think we also need to overhaul the entire academy structure, and put people in the job who have experience of developing players from a young age, bringing them through the age groups and competing for the first team and i think thats more important to get right first before we start building a new academy. I think they key people at the academy are; Steve Harper - Academy Manager - has overall responsibility for the NUFC academy Neil Winskill - Head of Coaching Development (Ex academy player, Been at NUFC for at least 10 years as a coach, previously U15 lead coach then U18 Manager) - presumably has responsibility for development of all academy coaches, presumably reports directly to Steve Harper Mark Atkinson - Head of Player Development (previously at Sunderland, joined in 2019) - presumably responsible for player development, and presumably reports directly to Steve Harper too. Elliot Dickman - U23 Manager Kevin Richardson - U23 Assistant Manager (been at NUFC at least 10 years, previously U18 Assistant Coach under Dave Watson) Peter Ramage - U18 Manager Ian Bogie - U18 Assistant Manager (Been at NUFC a while, was previously coach with the U14/U15, then Lead Coach of U15/U16 before becoming U18 Assistant) Shola Ameobi - Loan Manager

    Miguel Almirón

From the Athletic, Almiron is quarentining in an RV in training ground so he can still train. While Leeds are putting up Raphinha in a hotel close to their Thorp Arch training base and Liverpool have sent Alisson and Fabinho directly to Madrid, where they play Atletico on Tuesday, Brighton are following Newcastle’s suit and have driven down a different road. The pair have rented luxury RVs for Miguel Almiron and Jeremy Sarmiento to stay in throughout their 10-day quarantine period — although a change of countries under red-list regulations meant that Almiron did not need to use the trailer. The vehicles — which are like Formula 1 motorhomes — are situated at the clubs’ training grounds. By hiring an RV, clubs benefit from having security already on-site and avoid needing to provide chauffeurs and finding separate changing facilities for their players to participate in training. Club chefs are even able to leave food outside the door for the players to eat.
  13. GMOAL helicopter at Barnard Castle Wonder if Ashley has gone for an eye test?
  14. Ben Dawson has moved to First Team Coach permanently now, believe Winskill has moved up from U18 Manager to take his old job as Head of Coaching
  15. As a ref, red card all day long, intent or whether its an accident is irrelevant in laws of the game. Could have easily broken his leg
  16. Havn't seen Bale's disallowed goal today but i presume its for the bit in bold. Handling the ball For the purposes of determining handball offences, the upper boundary of the arm is in line with the bottom of the armpit. It is an offence if a player: • deliberately touches the ball with their hand/arm, including moving the hand/arm towards the ball •  scores in the opponents’ goal directly from their hand/arm, even if accidental, including by the goalkeeper • after the ball has touched their or a team-mate’s hand/arm, even if accidental, immediately: • scores in the opponents’ goal • creates a goal-scoring opportunity • touches the ball with their hand/arm when: • the hand/arm has made their body unnaturally bigger • the hand/arm is above/beyond their shoulder level (unless the player deliberately plays the ball which then touches their hand/arm

    U23s & Academy

Wonder whether Ben Dawson or Mark Atkinson might step up, both have a decent reputation for coaching, think Atkinson left the Mackems to come to us. Not sure how the structure was before but i presume Atkinson worked to Dawson who reported to Joyce as Academy Manager

Is it not just a case of he was put on gardening leaving a few months ago and now he has officially left? That's how I interpreted the original article when it was first announced
  19. Not necessarily, can still be a red card inside the box if there has been no genuine attempt to play the ball (e.g blatant pull of shirt)

    Sean Longstaff

His passing is average, his first touch is ok, his technique is ok his tackling is suspect at times and he doesn't really score many goals and he is slow, so what does he offer... genuine qn. He was never really worth £40m and I suspect it was his agent sounding off but if true we should have bitten their hand off.

    Sean Longstaff

Had a couple of good games gets hyped up by fans, believes his own hype then gets found out that he isn't a Premier League player. Rince and repeat for every academy player that gets hyped up by the fans. I would have drove him to Manchester myself for £40m at the time when they were interested.
  22. Burnley's game was typical rough em up, Dyche is another average british manager
  23. Kinnear probably asked for Smelly bin Man and PIF had no idea who this old Irish guy with dementia was
