  1. Leicester doing well. Maybe their fans should accept that Puel knows how to play against bigger teams
  2. Only on loan, we should be in for him in the summer. Assuming Ashley has f***ed off. Why would you assume that?
  3. No way, I was assured he was completely terrible now

    Rafa Benítez

I'd like to see him try to produce successful passing football with substandard players. He'd have no chance, Wagner would probably be a better bet. No one's going to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear though, Rafa is getting better results than either of those two would with the same resources. Ashley won't care though, strict financial control is what matters to him, he's obviously sick of not being able to push the managers around like he used to. You miss when he was at Swansea like? It's very hard to sustain that without very good players though, seen it with a lot of teams who come up and look fantastic for half a season but without a very good defence you need to have outstanding attackers to win enough games to stay up season after season. Just look at Fulham during this campaign. Fulham have been awful all season. It isn’t the same as Swansea were at all
  5. Nah, some people just judge everything with hindsight. We didn't suddenly have a squad that isn't s*** quality because Rafa got them well-organised and up to 10th. We had a pretty poor squad but we still had Dubravka, Lascelles, Lejeune, Perez, Kenedy, Shelvey. All good players, Cardiff have no good players Dubravka and Kenedy were both January signings for a start, but is it really worth debating? I simply disagree with you. Well like if you're going to make a statement I think you should be able to back it up Back up my opinion? It's not backed up with anything more than my personal opinion on football, same as everyone else. Meh. I just think its a bit stupid to make a post and then not try to give any justification for it when people think its wrong

  8. Considering Rafa didn't get it for finishing 10th, it's a big no from me. Because the two situations are exactly the same etc. I didn't say they were, but I was implying that finishing 10th with a similar, possibly worse squad is a better achievement than Cardiff staying up, which it is, comfortably. Our squad was not worse than Cardiff's this season man Can either of you read? 'Similar, possibly worse squad' and I stand by it, get over it. Aye possibly worse, that's what I was laughing at. No way They have zero good players

That is much better than I was expecting tbh

    On this day...

Met him in New York a few years back at a NY Spurs event. Diamond geezer. There were many in that team - Ardiles and Hughton are prime examples. Mad that Chris Hughton is 60

    Adam Armstrong

Didn't know he was doing that well. Fair play, very talented kid Mowbray wanting to play decent football is probably helping him a lot too
  14. Doesn't seem to play that often and has never scored that keeps you up at night? I said "a bit concerning" in a post where I also said I was really looking forward to seeing him play
  15. Doesn't seem to play that often and has never scored
  16. Really looking forward to seeing him play but his international record is a bit concerning
  17. Aye Ritchie's way too slow to do the role Atsu does for us. Will be very interesting to see if Rafa picks Ritchie or Barreca for LWB for this
  18. Eh? Aren't you specifically reducing the incentive to try to score away from home ? Am I missing something? Aye I was using it as an advantage of the away goals rule. Probs could have worded it better
  19. Also I’ve quite enjoyed Mourinho getting lauded for getting 0-0s away in Europe and then losing the second leg which the away goals rule has helped with IMO
  20. It is shit but I still think its a better way of deciding a game than penalties, and it also encourages teams to try to score away from home rather than going for a 0-0.
  21. That Dortmund-Malaga game was absolutely mad
